Hardware Engineer
Acacia Operations Hardware Engineering - Configuration Meet the Team The Acacia Operations Data team requires a full-time hardware engineer to support the configuration operations of optical modules. The responsibilities of this position include developing and performing optical module configuration and validation to support our production lines. Additionally, the role requires software development experience to automate the scripting, deployment, and validation of module configurations. Your Impact * Design and implement automated quality control for optical module configuration * Perform validation of optical module configurations in both the development and production environments * Work closely with sales application engineers to develop configuration scripts and validation routines * Debug automated systems for configuration Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or similar degree with at least two years of experience in a related field * Prior software development experience, including the use of symbolic debugger and debugging methods * At least one year experience with source code control systems, preferably Git or SVN * Experience with production support for remote contract manufacturers Preferred Qualifications: * Familiar with firmware configuration and validation techniques * Experience with Python development using object-oriented design * Python GUI development experience using tkinter or Qt * Database experience, both * Excellent communication skills, while being self-motivated with a focus on execution #WeAreCisco #WeAreCisco where every individual brings their unique skills and perspectives together to pursue our purpose of powering an inclusive future for all.
