Hardware Engineer - IaC
**Description** We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer in support of our United States Air Force customer. The ideal candidate will provide senior level engineering design and architecture support to provide enterprise-level solutions using physical and virtual networking technologies, server hosting, and storage solutions. Provide white papers for technical systems solutions and incremental roadmaps. Design new or modifies existing products, develops technical specifications for production, analyzes hardware configuration and processing solutions, and tests hardware conformance to specifications. **Responsibilities:** + Lead research, design, development, and testing of command and control (C2) weapons systems. + Design or modify COTS/GOTS products, define hardware requirements, and test conformance to specifications. + Develop and execute project plans, budgets, schedules, and documentation. + Conduct system integration, testing, and troubleshooting across complex communications systems. + Perform trade-off analysis for COTS products, focusing on SWaP-C (Size, Weight, Power, and Cost). + Provide support for system integration, lab and site testing, and maintenance. + Collaborate with engineers to resolve complex system issues. + Ensure compliance with DoD C2 system standards and requirements. **Qualifications** U.S. Citizenship and an active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI. **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:** Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years or more experience; Master’s degree and three (3) years or more experience. **Qualifications:** + Strong knowledge of DoD C2 systems and organizations. + Experience with network/system engineering, routers, switches, VPNs, and security. + Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC). + Familiarity with global network operations and system integration. + Knowledge of Microsoft Systems, OS, and applications. + Background in systems engineering, including cloud computing architecture. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. **Additional Skills:** + Ability to develop test procedures and execute testing routines. + Capable of working in multivendor network environments. This position requires a strong technical background and the ability to work across multiple disciplines and teams to deliver complex, integrated hardware solutions.
