You will be a Hardware Engineering Senior Manager at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC). You will be responsible for providing functional management and executive leadership to a growing team of engineers, analysts, and research scientists who make up the Engineering Sciences group.

What You Will Be Doing
As a Hardware Engineering Senior Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Provide direction, coaching, and mentoring to staff and managers
• Establish and maintain command media over contributions to PDP and MFC policies
• Communicate directly with staff through various means, including skip-level meetings, walk-around reviews, and regular staff meetings
• Identify skill, role, and other staffing gaps within the organization and hire staff to strategically align with hiring goals and metrics
• Manage labor and non-labor budgets in accordance with Finance and E&T policies, demonstrating good stewardship of resources
• Assist in the development of department strategies and goals
• Drive the mission for Engineering Sciences in harmonizing common processes
• Work interactively with Human Resources Business Partners to champion team members for recognition, address discipline issues, support initiatives, and recruit new hires
• Assist personnel in their usage and interpretation of corporate and MFC policy
• Recommend merit increases and promotions in accordance with employee performance assessment and company guidelines

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must have a Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years prior to start.
Basic Qualifications:
- Candidate must possess strong oral and written communication skills and has demonstrated superior interpersonal skills.
- Must be a US Citizen and have an Active Department of Defense Secret Clearance with an investigation with 5 years.
- Candidate must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferably in an engineering related discipline) with over 20 years of professional experience.
- Engineering experience with Stress, Dynamics, Thermal, Materials, Propulsion, Environmental and / or Lethality (or other similar disciplines).
- Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years experience managing teams of 7 or more individuals.
Desired Skills:
- Demonstrated experience with LM MFC program hardware requirements and the engineering development process, especially as it relates to analysis and test.
- Demonstrated behaviors that support all Full Spectrum Leadership imperatives with emphasis on exceptional interpersonal skills and cross-organization collaboration.
- Candidate possesses high-energy, initiative, creativity and have demonstrated the ability to function as a change agent.
- Candidate has a Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering related discipline with over 20 years of professional experience.
- A current US DoD Secret Clearance that has been renewed within the past 6 years or less.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
