Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond. **Responsibilities** **Quality & Reliability Engineer Intern:** + Assists senior Thermal/Mechanical engineer and Quality PM in identifying process improvements for their respective production areas. + Develops an understanding of how to read component/sub-component/device specification sheets and interprets basic details required to produce, assemble, and/or qualify Thermal/Mechanical hardware features with guidance from others. + Uses predictive modeling techniques (e.g., thermal simulation,tolerance analysis, Six Sigma) to inform and optimize manufactory quality for a well-defined product, part, component, sub-assembly, or final assembly. + Learns how to maintain contact and relationships with ODM factory and/or supplier stakeholders to drive yield. + Develops qualification process and criteria to calibrate product quality (e.g., Thermal liquid cooling…). **Thermal Engineer Intern:** + Works with senior Thermal Engineers to lead the thermal design and analysis of cloud hardware components, including servers, racks, power distribution systems, and cooling systems. + Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and system architects, to develop and implement thermal solutions that meet performance and reliability requirements. + Learns how to conduct thermal simulations, modeling, and analysis to assess system-level thermal performance and optimize cooling strategies. + Reviews and defines thermal design guidelines, specifications, and test plans for cloud hardware products. + Evaluates and selects appropriate cooling technologies, such as liquid cooling, air cooling, and heat sinks, to ensure efficient heat dissipation and thermal management. **Qualifications** **Required Qualifications:** + Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Masters’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering or related field. + Must have at least one additional quarter/semester of school remaining following the completion of the internship. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Majored in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Space Engineering, Marine Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field.
