Job Title: Hardware-in-the-Loop Integration EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) Integration Engineer to provide technical support and testing assistance for test script development, test execution, test automation support, and other bench customer activities. The successful candidate will collaborate with global engineering teams to understand testing environment requirements and translate those needs into hardware configurations.

ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support and testing assistance for test script development, test execution, and test automation support.Collaborate with global engineering teams to understand testing environment requirements and translate those needs into hardware configurations.Work with internal resources and suppliers to provide bench harness, load boxes, and coordinate changes following standard processes.Act as a primary point of contact for HIL user issues, communicate, and coordinate HIL strategy and model rollout.Create virtual controller models for different simulations for SIL testing.Create, maintain, and test virtual controller components such as RTOS and communication models.Obtain, develop, and parameterize sub-system models, such as sensors and actuators, and ECU behavioral models.Integrate Plant models and other ECU models into a dynamic virtual simulation.Essential SkillsBS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Computer Science.1-3 years of relevant work experience in control system design, integration, and testing or automotive controls calibration development.Real-time simulation knowledge of dSPACE, with experience setting up test environments.Modeling experience in Matlab / Simulink.Results-driven individual with high levels of initiative, urgency, and pro-activity.Strong functional, technical, and project management skills.Ability to manage multiple difficult assignments with a high level of autonomy and accountability.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong functional and technical skills and problem-solving abilities.Ability to support multiple programs and activities.Ability to learn and apply new skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications1-3 years of experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop tools for automotive embedded controls software Verification & Validation.1-3 years of experience developing microprocessor-based, real-time control algorithms and software in high-level Embedded C language.Experience with Brake / Chassis / Powertrain or Vehicle Plant Modeling and Integration.Experience with commonly used HIL bench tools, such as ETAS INCA, CAN (CANalyzer or Vehicle Spy), software code generation, Python, etc.Work Environment

The role is based onsite in Markham. While there is a possibility of a hybrid model, the candidate must be onsite multiple times weekly, preferably up to five times per week. The job involves working with benches onsite and maintaining existing systems.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
