Hardware Manufacturing Internship

What You'll Do: Are you an electrical/electronics engineering or technology student looking for an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience? We invite you to join our team and work on a range of electronic hardware development projects. Under the guidance of our experienced senior Hardware Developers, you’ll have the chance to contribute to new product development and product maintenance. Your tasks will include: + Testing designs + Building prototypes + Constructing test stands Principle Responsibilities and Duties + Soldering, assembling and wiring sample hardware. + Testing and troubleshooting electronic hardware. + Using electronic lab equipment to measure and monitor circuits. + Designing and validating test stands for factory testing. + Schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer. + Assist in the creation of test procedures and checklists. + Documenting test results. + Uses Microsoft Office® and applicable graphic/PCB software. Who You Are: + Second year or later electrical engineering or electronics technologist student. Minimum Required Skills + Technical knowledge relevant to the principal responsibilities and duties described. + Understanding of basic electronic components, circuits and design principles. + Basic Soldering Skills Physical Requirements + Works in an office/laboratory environment + Ability to move throughout the manufacturing and office areas. + Alternates between sitting, standing, lifting of items and moving within the work area. + Must be able to manipulate equipment used in performance of tasks. + Other demands include but not limited to oral, written, and presentation/communications skills.
