SUMMARY
The Procurement Administrator provides purchase order support and monitor for compliance. The position processes information accurately ensuring all requirements are met. The Procurement Administrator demonstrates BGIS values in communications with clients and team members.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Purchase Orders
Complete purchase orders on prescribed schedule based on project or client need. Review client-side purchase order processes to ensure all purchasing requirements are met. Track and document purchase orders within client’s purchasing system. Handle confidential information appropriately. Contribute to the completion of other key initiatives as assigned.Team Relationships
Work with Business Manager to mitigate purchase order compliance issues. Collaborate with a variety of internal teams to help maintain an open, effective relationship with the client. Participate in regular team meetings and cross functional project activities. Contribute to continuous improvement through suggestions on process flow and increasing efficiency.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related field or equivalent work experience. Minimum two years of applicable work experience in Accounting or Finance. One year purchase order accounting experience preferred. Strong attention to detail. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to deliver as an independent contributor and also to demonstrate teamwork agility. Problem Solving and analytical approach to recognize discrepancies and process flow breakdown. Time Management skills to multi-task and balance multiple deadlines. Quick learner able to adapt to improved processes and various technology solutions. Advanced understanding of Excel and knowledge of other Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio. Working knowledge of SharePoint preferred. Experience with purchase order software is helpful. Construction accounting experience preferred. Prior Business Intelligence development and design is preferred.
