Job Title: Lab Product Engineer/Technologist

Job Description

Seeking a Lab Product Engineer/Technologist to join our team. This role involves building Alpha, Beta, and Preproduction products for both our current offerings and the next generation of optical transport products.

ResponsibilitiesProvide test and debug support for all products built in the NPI lab.Conduct internal test product builds and verification.Manage day-to-day lab activities, including equipment maintenance, lab organization, and product tracking.Provide debug support at the PCBA level, optical level, and fully assembled modules.Provide status reports and tracking on products being worked on.Offer input to the NPI process team to improve design for production.Test different products as needed.Assist with kit sorting and verification.Keep WIP (Work In Progress) on schedule, identifying any shortcomings or roadblocks.Daily reporting of product build status.Track and close Failure Analysis.Interface with contract workers and R&D design team.Supervise small product builds or incoming repair projects from end to end.Essential SkillsKnowledge of PCBs.Experience in functional test, system test, and optical test.Experience working in an NPI or R&D lab.Hardware Technician experience.Debug engineering experience (2-5 years).Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Production Engineering or Engineering Technologist 3-year diploma.Optical fiber fusion splicing experience is an asset.Experience with Agile and Oracle is an asset.Strong organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.Ability to provide feedback to team members in a clear and constructive manner.Work with cross-functional teams and contract manufacturers around the world to support completing NPI tasks.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00
