What We Need From You Job- Duties and Requirements: + Assist in maintain sound management practices to ensure General Merchandise department contributes acceptable levels of gross & net profit to overall dealership. + Communicate regularly with the General Merchandise sales staff regarding: policies, product style options, product availability, product features/benefits. + Continue to recruit and select a team of qualifies sales staff + Create a positive work environment that results in higher retention and less turnover. + Clearly communicate dealership, company, and departmental objectives to staff. + Track daily/monthly sales per employee and report findings to Manager. + Develop monthly and annual objectives for the department in collaboration with the general merchandise manager. + Attend training sessions (PACE, Harley-Davidson University, etc.) to keep skill sets current with merchandising trends & inventory control issues. Essential Job Functions: + Valid driver's license and motorcycle endorsement, as well as current Ohio salesperson's license. + High school diploma preferred. + Schooling or experience in merchandising and retail sales. + Harley-Davidson General Merchandise product knowledge and passion for the lifestyle and riding community a plus. + Outgoing, likeable personality and the ability to communicate and relate with a broad customer base. + Experience with P.O.S. and computerized inventory systems or the ability to quickly learn.
