The Opportunity
We are now seeking two Qualified Flying Instructors (QFI's) to join the Aircrew Training Capability in Boeing Defence Australia (BDA).
Both positions will support the Helicopter Aircrew Training System (HATS) in Nowra, NSW, operating the EC135 T2+. The QFI is primarily responsible for the conduct of ab-initio pilot helicopter flying instruction.

Current CASA Class 1 Medical and ability to maintain the requirements of this medical certificateCASA Commercial Pilot Licence (Helicopter) - CPL(H) (minimum)CASA Command Instrument Rating (Helicopter), or military equivalentCASA Night Visual Flight Rules Rating, or military equivalentCASA Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS) rating, or military equivalentCASA Sling Load and Winching Operations Endorsement, or military equivalentCASA Flying Instructor (Helicopter) Grade 2 rating, or military equivalentTAE40122 or current TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or ability to obtainCategory C rotary wing Qualified Flying Instructor or greaterMilitary flight instruction experienceA history of helicopter NVD formation experience250hours of NVD flight operationsHave held a previous day and night Deck Landing Qualification (DLQ)Must have clear and effective English written and verbal communication skills in a stressful flying environmentMust have current Competency Standard HLTAID003 - Provide first aidDemonstrate the ability to work in a teamDemonstrate the ability to successfully interact with co-workers, maintaining productive working relationships to meet team, business unit and organisational goalsBe able to demonstrate a working knowledge of Workplace/Occupational Health and Safety proceduresIntermediate to advanced level of MS Office skillsBe able to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearanceDesirable Criteria:
