HAWAIIAN CULTURAL MANAGER 

The Four Seasons Resort Hualalai is looking for a Hawaiian Cultural Manager. Candidates with a passion for excellence, expertise in hospitality operations and proven leadership experience are invited to apply for a career with Four Seasons. As a member of the Cultural team, the Hawaiian Cultural Manager works across disciplines to deliver an exceptional experience. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

Create spirit of Aloha and share the cultural connection of Ka’upulehu through guest, member, and team member experiences.  Support cultural resort offerings and classes with the Hualalai Cultural Center team which include, but not limited to, the following: 

Develop sense of place through Hawaiian cultural activities throughout the resort (presence in lobby, guest meet & greets throughout property, restaurant roaming, etc) and develop stronger sense of Hualalai employee community (department meetings, blessings, etc) 

Participate in guest experiences (arrival, lobby presentations, etc) working with the Rooms division during peak guest movement 

Participate and lead VIP and specialty suites experiences (arrival, private experiences, and midstay connections) 

Participate in group preconference meetings, events/cultural lectures, group cultural classes, officiant services, or other experiences as determined by Special events 

Participate in site inspections, media on property visits, and willingness to attend client events or travel for sales trip including in person client meetings, receptions, lectures, etc as directed by Director of Sales 

Participate and host employee experiences, such as Pop-Up events, Embark or other trainings determined by People & Culture 

Lead and provide Cultural advisement for the Resort 

Ability to cover basic role as Mea Ho’okipa in support to cultural center experiences 

 Strong engagement in guest/member relations, with follow up to concerns and/or suggestions, responding to all inquiries in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve maximum satisfaction while complying with all Four Seasons’ policies. 

Attend employee meetings and briefings to connect with teams as cultural discussion, celebration, spiritual blessings, etc 

Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors. Open communication with supervisors and senior management on any Member related challenges, complaints, with follow up action taken. 

Support and lead Mea Ho’okipas in the Cultural Center (including payroll, scheduling, coaching/counseling, supply ordering, etc) 

Assist with any other tasks or projects as needed by Director of Rooms or Director of Sales

WHAT TO BRING 

Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States 

Weekend & Holiday availability required   

Ability to accurately read and work with computer systems. 

Strong Customer Service skills     

Preferable experience working at a luxury resort 

Strong Customer Service skills and strong knowledge of Hawaiian culture
