Helpdesk is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week._ **Location:** WorldPort Freight Facility in Louisville, Kentucky **Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to self-relocate.** **Job Summary** This position answers inbound calls in a phone center setting. The telephone representative provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers concerning dangerous goods regulatory shipping, packaging, marking, labeling, documentation, etc. This position performs other tasks as requested. This coverage position is well-suited for an individual who is flexible and eager to work additional hours. **Responsibilities:** + Ensures external customers and UPSers are in compliance with hazardous materials/dangerous goods laws and regulations. + Fields calls from external customers concerning proper guidelines for shipping dangerous goods. + Fields calls from UPSers in the operation concerning proper guidelines for accepting, loading, and storing air, ground, domestic, and international dangerous goods. + Fields calls from UPSers regarding dangerous goods documentation for flights. **Qualifications:** + Customer Service skills/experience + UPS operations knowledge + Good verbal communication skills + Good written communication skills + Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook + Prefer previous dangerous goods experience **Employee Type:** Permanent UPS is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. **Other Criteria:** UPS is an equal opportunity employer.
