The Hazardous Waste Transporter is responsible for removing and transporting hazardous and infectious waste in accordance with state and federal regulations in order to maintain a clean and safe environment throughout the hospital complex. 

1. Maintains waste handling incident log daily. Provides monthly report on daily logs.

2. Package, transport, and properly store hazardous waste in accordance with state and federal regulations.

3. Clean and maintain carts for proper containment or infectious trash.

4. Transport boxes of confidential materials from various areas throughout the hospital complex. Ensures proper safety guidelines are maintained.

5. Clean compactor area. Clean and maintain all waste chute rooms.

6. Operate waste compactor and cardboard bailer.

7. Dispose of infectious waste according to infectious waste according to state regulations.
