Role Purpose:

Responsible for shipping and receiving per regulations dangerous goods / hazardous materials. Responsible for checking all inbound and outbound products. Ensures products are free of damage and infestation, product code dates are properly recorded and products match customer requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

Process hazardous material shipments following DOT rules and regulations.Complete Bill of Ladings and hazardous materials shipping papers for all shipments.Determine method of shipment by utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, rates and routes.Create and print of the required documents for Shipping / Box Labeling.Maintain all shipment paperwork per the company's record retention policies.Verify all appropriate HAZMAT and safety labeling is followed for all outgoing shipments per IATA, IMDG, CFR49.Ensures timely and accurate shipment processing and maintains inventory of shipping and receiving packing materials and supplies.Assist in day to day warehouse operations to include materials handling, operating industrial equipment (fork lift), counting, inventory and maintaining a clean work area.Arrange domestic transportation to domestic Forwarders via Federal Express (small parcel) Pilot Freight (Bulk) and Scheduling pick-up from XPO locations with freight carriers.Track and analyze data for metrics daily.Performs inventory adjustment audits and counts as directed.Examines outgoing shipments and make sure they conform with specifications.Place items into containers using fillers, spacers and protective padding as specified.Maintain up to date certifications on HAZMAT shipping.Ensures company policies and procedures are followed.
