The HCV Clinical Research Assistant 2 will provide seamless connection between providers, Peers and patients to facilitate tele-health Hepatitis C care utilizing a harm-reducing and trauma informed approach. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Registering patients with OHSU, scheduling and managing clinical data in EPIC, and practicing closed-loop communication with Peers and providers through secure platforms. The HCV Clinical Research Assistant 2 will also access and organize clinical data in partnership with multiple laboratory platforms, communicate results to providers and Peers. The HCV Clinical Research Assistant 2 will capitalize on experience in health services to support patient’s as they progress through the steps of care needed to become cured of Hepatitis C. Maintain Clinical Data and Records:
Receives and organizes clinical data from various sources.Uploads into EPIC HEREnters data into secure databases and provides weekly and/or monthly reports to study team about participant clinical outcomesCommunicates clinical data to peers and patientsLiaison with Peers:
Promptly communicates with Peers via secure software (such as SpokMobile) or phoneRegister patients with OHSUSchedule patients in EPIC (completes OHSU PAS training) Assists peers in prioritizing patients for outreach and clinical follow upAssists in Peer training initiativesLiaison with Providers:

Tracks patient data regarding hepatitis C via the EPIC “Episode of Care” and other secure platforms such as OneDriveWorks closely with the study’s Principal Investigators and Peer Supervisor to assure data quality Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; ORAssociate Degree AND 2 years of relevant experience; OR 3 years of relevant experience OREquivalent combination of training and experience Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fieldMust have demonstrated excellent customer service skills both on the phone and in person. Must possess energy and drive to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to use tact and diplomacy to maintain effective working relationships. Must have excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills: both written and verbal. Must be proficient with computers running Windows and PC applications e.g. MS Excel, Oracle, Access, Word and PowerPoint as well as proficiency with HER software EPIC. Ability to work independently and as part of a team while being collaborative in resolving problems.Ability to prioritize multiple tasks at one time2 years or more experience in a relevant field Experience with people who inject drugs, Hep C or HIVMust possesses valid driver’s license;Within 1 month of hire, person must complete Certification in the Protection of Human Research Subjects (i.e., CITI) Additional DetailsMonday – Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Primarily days with additional hours, including on weekends as needed. Possible travel between clinic sites and OHSU Campus. Not to exceed 40 hours per week.
