Site Name: Japan - Tokyo - Akasaka Posted Date: Jan 14 2025 Job Purpose The Director of TA Medical Affairs role is a senior leadership role, with the remit of building a world class Medical Affairs function, with the ultimate aim of providing overall leadership medical activities within Japan, including leading the Product Medical Leads, Medical Advisors, and MSL functions. The incumbent will lead effective development and implementation of the medical strategies, ensuring the highest quality expertise is hired and contributing to the overall enterprise plan to ensure the optimal launch of new products through: Robust integrated evidence planning in close collaboration with Regulatory and Health Outcomes partners Support for TA Medical Business planning Collaboration and cross-functional working with Commercial Leadership Team Partners (marketing, sales, reimbursement), Japan Regulatory and global partners Excellence in Medical Engagement with key external experts, ensuring insights are gathered and analyzed in a timely manner, with robust communication and action plans with relevant stakeholders Medical governance and compliance oversight for SC focused Medical and Development activities Leading by example in science x technology x culture Key Responsibilities Be accountable for supporting Medical Affairs Leads and partner within Global and Regional Medical Affairs, cross-functionally within the LOC to develop TA Medical strategy: Support development, implementation and monitoring of the Specialty Care Medical Affairs strategic plans which include development of focused External Engagement Plans and analysis of Medical voice of the customer Collaborate and work cross-functionally with Commercial Leadership Team Partners (marketing, sales, reimbursement) to identify customer and patient needs, and develop innovative strategies and solutions that contribute to the optimal launch of new products and appropriate optimal patient use of already launched GSK medicines. Input into commercial strategy and marketing plans, providing technical accuracy, fair and balanced information and conformance with prevailing legislation, regulations and internal SOP’s.
