As Head, US Vaccines Commercial Operations Finance you’ll be responsible for providing critical business and financial support to the US Commercial Operations Organization and for performing all accounting & controlling activities associated with Commercial Operations in the US.
Primary areas of responsibility are accounting, controlling, budgeting and forecasting. This position sits on the North America finance leadership team and will contribute toward North America One Finance (NA1F) talent development, corporate initiatives and culture. This role will have extensive transversal collaboration with Finance and non-Finance team in North America, Global and the hubs. Also responsible for contributing to the achievement of US financial goals by providing financial analysis and business support to day-to-day operations and key initiatives of the US ComOps Organization and serving as member of the US Marketing and Sales Leadership Team.
US Vaccines is ~$4Bn business providing vaccines for infants to older adults. This business unit also wholly owns VaxServe, a leading distributor of vaccines for Sanofi and other major manufacturers.

Main Responsibilities:
Financial strategy and planning: Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting to align with corporate goals. Drive growth to achieve top line sales targets and deliver BOI via efficient management of pricing strategies as well as diligent resource allocation.
Coordinate the development of US business unit sales and operating profit forecasts for all required budget processes (annual budgets, budget updates (T1 & T2), monthly & quarterly sales trends). In conjunction with Marketing management, develop all required sales forecasts and in conjunction with all areas of Commercial Operations management develop operating expense budgets.
Coordinate review by Sr. business unit management and ensure all required corporate submissions are completed in accordance with established timelines and guidelines. Play a key role in the development of business unit budget and operating plan presentations for Sanofi Vaccines and Sanofi Group executive review.
Contribute to forecasting transformation leveraging monthly forecast process and AI.
Pricing: Play a key role in the development, implementation, administration and assessment of Sanofi Vaccines pricing and contracting policies, strategies and tactics. Member of Vaccines Pricing Committee.
Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with local regulations and corporate policies. Ensure proper flow of financial information and clear processes and governance across activities, in particular with Business Operations pillars (A2R, O2S, Controlling Ops, Hubs, and P2P).
Complete all month-end closing accounting activities and reporting requirements in compliance with all applicable accounting standards, statutory requirements and corporate reporting requirements and timelines.
Ensure compliance with all corporate policies and procedures for the approval, commitment and incurrence of operating expenses.
Provide routine and ad hoc reports and analyses to and conduct meetings with Sr. management to update them on the status of their budgets. Conduct on-going review of budgets to identify, assess & investigate budget variances, provide recommendations to address expected variances and monitoring business initiatives and priorities and provide recommendations on budget reallocations and changes to ensure business needs are met within approved budgeted spending levels.
Monitoring and evaluate the adequacy of related balance sheet reserve accounts.
Business Partnering: Collaborate with senior leadership to drive strategic decision making and operational efficiency. Analyze key financial metrics and business performance indicators, act as a trusted advisor to senior management and franchise/function heads to identify and mitigate financial risks.
Risk Management: Identify, assess and mitigate financial risks including compliance and legal risks.
Digital: Accelerate implementation and adoption of financial tools and systems (Plai, PowerBI, AI forecasting)
Treasury and Cash Management: Work closely with US and Global Treasury team to manage cash flow and working capital.
Responsible for inbound cash flow forecasting and achievement of corporate cash flow and DSO objectives.
In partnership with Treasury and Vaccines Pricing Committee, approve all payment terms.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to tax, audit, government legislation and specific country financial regulations.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor and develop the US Vaccines team, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
Contribute toward North America One Finance (NA1F) talent development, corporate initiatives and culture.
About You
Education/Experience Requirements:
Minimum 10+ years relevant Accounting/Finance/Industry experience
B.A/B.S. Accounting/Finance
CPA and/or MBA preferred
Experience in business partnering required.
Strong understanding and experience with the US pharmaceutical industry and market is preferred.
