A Head Chef managing a Members' Club is responsible for managing all aspects of the kitchen to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while seeking customer feedback, training staff, controlling costs, and covering all business needs

What will I be doing?

\n

As a Head Chef, you are responsible for managing all aspects of the kitchen to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. A Head Chef will also be required to ensure that all operational, quality, and administrative functions are carried out properly. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

1. Menu Development:

\n\nCreate and design innovative, seasonal menus that reflect the club's upscale standards and cater to the diverse tastes of our members.\nEnsure that the menu aligns with the overall concept of the club and enhances the dining experience.\n\n

2. Team Leadership:

\n\nLead, manage, and mentor a dynamic kitchen team, ensuring efficient operations and maintaining high standards.\nTrain kitchen staff on food preparation, presentation, and hygiene practices, ensuring consistency and quality in all dishes.\n\n

3. Quality Control:

\n\nOversee the preparation and presentation of food to ensure it meets the club’s standards for taste, quality, and appearance.\nRegularly monitor and inspect the kitchen, storage areas, and equipment to maintain cleanliness and organisation.\n\n

4. Inventory Management:

\n\nManage food inventory and ordering of supplies, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining stock levels for uninterrupted service.\nControl waste and portioning, minimising food costs and ensuring profitability.\n\n

5. Health & Safety Compliance:

\n\nEnsure the kitchen complies with all local health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and hygiene policies.\nMaintain up-to-date knowledge of food safety procedures and implement them within the team.\n\n

6. Member Engagement:

\n\nInteract with members to gather feedback on food quality and service, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any concerns.\nAdapt menu offerings based on member preferences and seasonal trends.\n\n

7. Collaboration with Front-of-House:

\n\nWork closely with the Front-of-House management team to ensure smooth communication between the kitchen and dining room.\nCoordinate with the restaurant team for timely and accurate service, ensuring members have an exceptional dining experience.\n

What are we looking for?

A Head Chef serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

\n\nPassionate about food and hospitality\nCreative, with an eye for detail and presentation\nStrong communication skills and a positive attitude towards team collaboration\nKnowledge of local food trends and an interest in incorporating regional influences into the menu\nExceptional culinary skills, with a strong understanding of modern cooking techniques and international cuisine\nExcellent organisational and time-management skills to manage kitchen operations efficiently\nAbility to work under pressure while maintaining high standards\nStrong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team\nFormal culinary training or a relevant qualification (e.g., culinary arts diploma, apprenticeship)\nProven track record of leading and managing a kitchen team, ideally in a signature restaurant or luxury establishment\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in a high-end restaurant or members' club environment, with at least 2 years in a head chef or senior kitchen management role\n\n

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

\n\nPrevious culinary experience in similar role\nPassion for food\nKnowledge of current food trends\nHigh level of IT proficiency\nProficiency in English (Arabic is a plus)\n\n
