Required Education:

4 Year Degree Coe College is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Head Coach of Women's Volleyball. This position is responsible for planning, organizing and supervising a competitive Women’s Volleyball program within the spirit, policies, and rules of Coe College, the American Rivers Conference, and the NCAA Division III. The head coach is responsible for designing and administering programs, policies, and services that will further the fitness, wellness, personal, social, and academic development of Coe students.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Plan and supervise practices and games

•Schedule contests and hire game officials

•Vigorously recruit prospective student-athletes

•Manage assigned budgets

•Secure and maintain equipment

•Supervise assistant coach(s)

•Promote the sport, athletics department, and Coe College

•Additional Responsibilities assigned by the Director of Athletics

•Ability to work harmoniously with coaches of other athletic teams, athletic staff members, faculty members and college administrators

•Exhibit exemplary personal conduct and character traits

•Serve as a role model for student athletes

WORKING CONDITIONALS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

•Weekend and evening hours required

•Travel required

•Occasional lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs

•Frequent twist, bend, stoop and climb

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree is required for this position; a Master’s degree is preferred 3-plus years previous coaching experience is preferred Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States as we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.  Successful completion of a background check in accordance with Coe College policy.
