Professional Sports Position Summary and Responsibilities: Coming off a 2024 Mountain East Conference (MEC) South Division Regular Season Championship, MEC Tournament Championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance, West Virginia State University invites applications for the position of Head Women’s Volleyball Coach. This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position. The individual will report to the Athletic Director. The successful candidate will serve as the head coach in all aspects of a competitive NCAA Division II Women's Volleyball program including, but not limited to: •The recruitment and retention of qualified student-athletes •Organizing, preparing and executing effective practice and game plan strategies •Monitoring and nurturing student-athletes’ academic and personal growth and development •Managing successfully the daily operations: budgeting, scheduling, and travel arrangements •Supervising assistant coaches and other support staff •Fundraising, Alumni engagement, and community service

Bachelor's degree preferred. A valid driver's license, official academic transcript(s) and the successful result of a background check are mandatory. Head coach experience at the collegiate level preferred;
