Reporting to the VP Digital Transformation & Auto Strategy, Mexico, the vision for this role is to leverage your expertise in advancing a digital product mindset, agile ways of working, and agile product coaching abilities at a regional scale to institutionalize Chubb’s digital-first ways of working and operating model and enable leaders and teams to have a continuous improvement mindset.

• Experienced in digital product delivery accomplished through multidisciplinary teams; coaching teams through engineering practices such as unit test automation, coding standards and automated deployment pipelines 

• A fast learner of complex software ecosystems who can coach teams on how to develop production-ready products more quickly and efficiently 

• An ability to effectively assess situations and identify gaps vs. DevOps industry best practices; coaching the team to address the most important ones in thoughtful, actionable ways of measuring progress along the way

What You Will Do 

• Build the digital practices chapter of agile product coaches and discipline for Digital Enterprise Mexico; play a hands on execution role alongside teams to model the way and reinforce best practices to develop a product owner skillset 

• Implement, train, and continuously champion all elements of Chubb’s digital-first ways of working, product delivery, and agile practices to improve business agility across the region.

• Build and deliver “digital product delivery” training and best practices for business outcomes to ensure Chubb’s digital first operating model, ways of working, and product roadmaps are well understood and executed at regional scale.

• Directly accountable to create and track measurements of adoption, effectiveness, and outcomes at all levels; partner with performance effectiveness leads to ensure visibility of metrics at all levels of the organization exist, and appropriate actions are taken to ensure outcomes are realized and continuously improve 

• When businesses are adopting digital-first operating model, play “hands on” execution role; coach initial teams to ensure the model is adopted 

• Actively coach and develop the skills of the agile product coaches in your chapter 

• Support domain leader and senior product owners as a member of leadership 

• Ensure that coaches and business leaders embrace accountability to deliver business value by tracking, executing, and communicating progress against relevant objectives (Objectives and Key Results, tied to business KPIs) 

• Own the engagement model for how agile practitioners are deployed to and engage with teams and product managers to drive the operating model across businesses 

• Ensure the health of the agile practices chapter across the region and measure against pre-defined rubric 

• Ensure tools, templates, standards and ways of working are documented and deployed; ensure iterations and learnings are captured and redeployed 

• Ensure on-demand training for multidisciplinary teams, personas, Chubb’s digital first ways of working, and Chubb’s operating model are operationalized, maintained, and deployed across the region 

• Govern any and all changes to ways of working standards along with regional transformation product owners, and monitor adherence to standards on, regional, business, domain, and team basis 

• Maintain strong ‘on-the-ground’ presence across teams-Domains in order to have sufficient support and oversight for all agile product coaches • Engage with senior leadership to ensure effectiveness in multi-domain ceremonies and focusing on strategy and execution (e.g., pro-actively running the Quarterly Business Review and Release Plan process, problem-solving in leadership syncs) 

• Deeply understand the business and technical context in which your teams operate so that you can help them understand what solutions are more valuable than others and help deliver that value into customer’s hands efficiently and with high quality 

• Define blueprint to improve agile product coaches and squad maturity level across all elements of rubric 

• Support scale-up including recruiting and on-boarding of coaches; Define coaching requirements, communicate, and recruit coaches; Maintain a standard approach for on-boarding 

• Help drive the team to bring value forward leveraging a wide variety of techniques including business objectives, MVP mindsets, test and learn, dark launches and more. 

• Drive the end-to-end solutions your teams are supporting. This includes high quality technical solutions that are maintainable and scalable as well as robust business process guides to aide swift and efficient adoption of changes 

• Remove impediments (e.g., cultural barriers, test data, solution integration, shift left testing, coordination with other teams) and foster close cooperation and communication across all team members, to ensure the teams are functional and productive 

• Continuously seek to improve team velocity and performance by promoting joint accountability for results and solving blockers while coaching pods to raise and remove impediments on their own 

• Increase the overall agile maturity of the organization by nurturing agile practices and principles; instill Agile mindset in teams through conversations, coaching, and role playing 

• Work with other members of the Digital practice to promote a Chubb Digital culture, define the playbook while balancing the focus on people over process, and support the deployment of Chubb Digital playbook across the organization

Foundational Skills

• Strong ability to inspire members and mobilize agile coaches that act as multipliers and foster agile mindset that delivers business outcomes 

• Pragmatic view of agile as an enabler over agile purist mindset 

• Ability to quickly identify leaders’ training needs, and address them through coaching (“train the trainer”) in inclusive training sessions 

• Strong communication and presentation skills, coaching and teaching agile methodologies to teams and leaders, explaining the reason behind certain techniques, and encouraging team members to rely on each other 

• Ability to show empathy and able to put oneself in the other person's shoes and understand their personal and professional behaviors in order to make interaction with them as effective as possible 

• Bring a high-energy and passionate outlook of the role and can influence those around them with different techniques

Technical Skills

• Experience in managing Digital product coaches that support a large number of squads (20+), with good understanding of internal and external forces affecting financial institutions and insurance experience is a plus 

• Track record of 5+ deliveries of Digital products with strong experience in modern software development practices 

• Experience scaling agile ways of working over large groups, and multiple businesses/geographies and establishing governance mechanisms 

• Able to identify and flag impediments related to test data, test environments, source code management and dependencies on applications within a solution ecosystem 

• Experience in Digital Development, with specific Digital Coaching experience, or scrum master experience 

• Knowledge of multiple Agile techniques and software engineering excellence (e.g. XP, CI/CD, DevOps, Kanban, Scrum, Design Thinking, OKRs, continuous integration, continuous testing, continuous deployment)

Education 

• Background in software delivery, technology, and/or digital product operations and delivery.

•Digital/Agile Product & Digital/Agile coaching or other Digital/Agile certifications (CSM, ICE-AC, ICP-ACC, PSM I, PSM II, SAFe) strongly preferred.
