The anticipated salary range for this role is between $238,000.00 and $265,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. Role DescriptionThe Head of Finance, HR & Procurement Technologies is responsible for oversight and daily management of both cross-functional and internal projects that involve designing and building enterprise finance, procurement & HR technologies in a vendor-based SaaS (Software as a Service) in a cloud environment for SMBC AD entities by working closely with multiple vendors and business stakeholders.
The incumbent will oversee the JRIA IT teams responsible for the respective functional areas including integration with data sources across AD entities. Business stakeholders include Financial Controllers, Procurement & Human Resources as well as other internal customers. The preferred candidate will demonstrate passion and expertise for leading strategic initiatives to implement AD (Americas Division) wide General Ledger, Procurement and Human Resources technologies to enable daily business as well as day-to-day operational execution responsibilities. As a Senior level contributor, the candidate must demonstrate strong communication and relationship building competencies. Strong Program and project management skills are also key requirements.

Role Objectives Reviews all system development project requests and coordinates related team activities; meets with business stakeholders and other technical teams to gather and analyze requirements. Provides technical and thought leadership around cloud technologies and ecosystems, including Financial, Procurement & HR cloud data architecture and integration, and can guide the team in terms of exploring new and emerging business solutions. Develop and implement tactical plans and strategic objectives for the department in an effective and innovative fashion. Apply strong Program/ Project Management skills, turn the strategic vision into an actional project and drive the project to conclusion. Provides high level technical support to IT partners by leading the troubleshooting processes and working towards providing fixes where required. Provides written reports to management regarding project status, tasks, and issues/risks. Takes lead in building related activities, discussions, environment setup implementation schedule/changes promoted to the test & production environments. Actively participates in planning sessions, meetings & interfaces regularly with senior level counter parts across multiple business units. Maintains effective relationships with vendors and suppliers; resolves issues and maintains ongoing communication. Participates in the planning, implementation, testing and documentation of Technology Recovery Plans to support continuity objectives as defined by business and service managers. Partners with Financial Change Management, Procurement & Human Resources Department to create, plan and executes the strategic roadmap for SMBC AD entities. This includes standards and governance requirements for managing the environment in a strategic and consistent fashion. Looks for continuous improvement opportunities through automation and simplification of all current activities. Ensures team member activities comply and are aligned with all strategic directives; provides guidance to junior employees and serves as strong leader by providing managerial direction and oversight to multi-disciplinary teams. Oversee and coordinate daily operations including day to day operation of the Financial, Procurement & HR technology assets. Arranges proper support, coverage and staffing plans for all implementation activities and organization commitments. Direct department staffing needs (e.g. interviewing, hiring, new hire and ongoing training, annual evaluations, etc.) Participate in budget planning, initiation, and monitoring of expenses. Assess and report progress in meeting department’s objectives. Continuingly assess and improve the team structure within Financial Data Management while ensuring it aligns with immediate tactical and long-term strategic goals. Participates in Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises and ensures the DR environment is set up and configured properly. Qualifications and Skills Expert knowledge of Cloud Technologies utilized by SMBC including vendor-based cloud solutions serving Finance, Procurement & Human Resources, data architecture and integration and emerging data stores and technologies. This includes hands on experience with cloud technologies such as Oracle Fusion Cloud, Coupa, Concur, Nexus HR, ADP Payroll Services, Azure Cloud tools & Databricks. Additionally experience in integrating vendor solutions with on-prem legacy platforms. Adept at project management including prior experience with system implementations, programming, integration, conversion, and testing. High level customer service mindset with a commitment to supporting both internal and external stakeholders.
