Professional Rank and Salary Range: SL-3; TBD Duration: Calendar Year (this position works all 12-months) Brief Description of Duties: SUNY Morrisville, a proud member of the Empire 8 Conference, is seeking a dedicated and passionate leader for the full-time position of Head Football Coach. This role is responsible for the comprehensive management of the college's NCAA Division III football program, overseeing all aspects of coaching, program development, and student-athlete success. Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to: + Recruitment & Retention - Develop and execute a strategic recruitment plan to attract high-caliber student-athletes who align with SUNY Morrisville's academic and athletic standards. + Program Development - Plan and implement effective practice sessions, game strategies, and player development programs to foster competitive success. + Team & Staff Leadership - Hire, mentor, and supervise assistant coaches and support staff, cultivating a positive and disciplined team culture. + Game & Travel Logistics - Coordinate game schedules, team travel arrangements, and compliance with NCAA and Empire 8 regulations. + Academic & Community Engagement - Support student-athletes' academic progress, ensuring strong retention and graduation rates, while fostering meaningful community involvement. + Athletic Department Support - In addition to coaching responsibilities, this position will take on a secondary role within the athletic department, contributing to daily operations or game-day management.
