Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/innovative-medicine Head Global Medical Affairs- Psoriatic Disease will have two distinct responsibilities: + Leads a team of Global Medical Affairs Leaders for Psoriatic Disease in additional to serving in GMAL role for key programs, including leading the development of core initiatives, such as WW Medical Affairs Strategy and WWIEGP, partner with Global R&D and Global Commercial Dermatology teams, collaborate with Regional and Country-level Medical Affairs teams + External Engagement Leadership: Identify and implement innovative approaches to enhance J&J IM scientific exchange and KOL engagement across J&J Dermatology - Psoriatic Disease. Develop strategy to continually evaluate evolving external landscape including competitor data, guideline updates and patient perceptions. Key Responsibilities: + Provide strategic direction to further the medical adoption of the psoriatic disease portfolio, in alignment with key internal stakeholders, such as R&D, Compound Development Team (CDT), and Medical Affairs cross-functional partners (Commercial and Market Access functions) for life cycle planning and brand value optimization. Responsible for the Global Medical Affairs plan and tactics for psoriatic disease portfolio: + Work compliantly in close collaboration with icotrokinra and TREMFYA commercial leaders for the development of the brand strategy + Provide scientific input into the development and implementation of the post-approval clinical trial plan + Lead the WW Medical Affairs Strategy Team, consisting of regional Therapeutic Area Medical Affairs Leaders and cross-functional partners to create one Medical Affairs perspective and one “unified” voice on the CDT + Coordinate a single Medical Affairs voice into the creation of compound development and LCM strategies, plans and trial design from phase III through phase IV + Collaborate closely with the regional Medical Affairs representatives to develop integrated global Medical Affairs strategies and plans and maintain open, two-way communication to ensure regional Medical Affairs is up to date on all plans, progress and decisions + Lead development and execution of the global publication plan as well as review and approval of publications and scientific congress displays for marketed products and specified compounds in clinical development + Manage the psoriatic disease team’s ReCAP process (review of all medical affairs sponsored clinical trials and Investigator Initiated Sponsored studies) for applicable products. + Coach and promote career development for Global Medical Affairs leaders currently supporting the psoriatic disease portfolio + Psoriatic Disease External Engagement (EE): Develop and maintain robust strategic relationships/cooperation with leading external experts to build and maintain external expertise for the priority brand and consequently advocacy consistent with TA strategies and initiatives: + Build relationships with external experts in dermatology and IL-23 biology and present Johnson & Johnson Dermatology Medical Affairs strategies and data with global key opinion leaders. + Supervise the team supporting the psoriatic disease portfolio in designing and executing the annual Advisory Board plan and ensuring alignment with regional team leads and cross-functional global immunology team + Present at various Dermatology scientific meetings, industry forums and JNJ medical education events in collaboration with GMAF Dermatology Senior Director of EE- TREMFYA + Provide medical leadership in interactions with external stakeholders (HA bodies, external experts, and KOLs) + Coordinate worldwide relevant advocacy initiatives and strategy by driving, building and enhancing strategic alliances with key national and international stakeholders, including patient advocacy groups, physician advocacy groups, and academic organizations **Qualifications** + A terminal scientific/medical degree (e.g. MD, PhD, PharmD) is required; M.D. or D.O. is preferred + A minimum of 10 years of combined relevant experience in a medical/clinical environment and/or scientific function is required + Launch experience in psoriatic disease therapeutic area is essential + A demonstrated track record of leadership and accomplishment success within Medical Affairs in the pharmaceutical industry in a local country or global/matrix environment is required + Experience with Phase II to IV trials, including post-approval clinical trials is required + Direct people leadership experience is required + Having an established network with medical experts/opinion leaders in psoriatic disease and ability to foster scientific exchange, and engage in profiling and outreach to global external experts is highly preferred + Experience in patient advocacy and engagement is highly desirable + Medical/scientific and operational expertise specific to the indication area; including experience in the design, execution, and publication of clinical trials + Assessment and communication of audit issues / recommendations to stakeholders in a clear, concise and accurate manner (both written and verbal communication) is required + Global mindset and ability to partner cross culturally/regionally is required + A demonstrated track record leading highly matrixed, cross-functional work teams as well as in international environments + Excellent understanding of medical communications including publication planning + Medical/scientific and operational expertise specific to the indication area; including experience in the design, execution, and publication of clinical trials + Excellent and up-to-date knowledge of the ICH and Good Clinical Practice standards. + Strong understanding of the clinical development activities and global regulatory requirements + Good understanding of basic research, pharmacovigilance processes and reporting requirements + Innovative, critical, and entrepreneurial thinking with ability to organize and prioritize and to motivate teams + Strong business acumen, excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and advanced presentation skills + Proven track record of embodying ethics and J&J Credo principles + Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25% domestic and international travel annually is required + This position is located in Horsham, PA and follows a hybrid schedule of three days in the office and two days remotely per week Johnson & Johnson is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
