Head of Access and External Engagement (f/m/d)

About This Role:
The Head of Access and External Engagement (f/m/d) is a crucial member of the Affiliate Leadership Team  and has primary responsibility for planning and managing market access and pricing activities for in-line and launch products for the Affiliate market.

Among other responsibilities, this includes development of reimbursement/value dossiers, development /implementation of economic budget impact models and management of regular reference pricing reviews as well as development of pricing models and business cases for internal and/or external partners. The incumbent will be responsible for patient access to Biogen current and future products in the country and will build key relationships to all relevant stakeholders. In addition, the Head of Access and External Engagement (f/m/d) is also responsible for Corporate PR and to drive attention to the unmet medical need in the pre-marketing phase in the respective indications covered by Biogen.

What You’ll Do:

Strategic directionCritically assesses drivers and barriers to pricing, reimbursement and market accessDevelops comprehensive strategy and activity plans for Market Access for the affiliate securing fast and sustainable access to therapies to patientsDevelops core deliverables in cooperation with global/international staff (e.g. reimbursement dossiers, health economic evaluations/value dossiers, budget impact models) to generate Country specific dataPlans and ensures implementation of value dossiers adapted for the Affiliate market (i.e. health insurances, hospitals)Effectively manages pricing strategy for Hospitals and other key stakeholdersEnsures continuous internal education on health politics and health economics, pricing and value of drug therapyDesign and execute Market Access programs to increase Market Access capabilities in the Country with a cross functional approachKME management and member of PHARMIG working groups, this includesStakeholder management & engagementGovernmental Affairs platformHealthcare Economy platformPreparation of supportive educational activities for hospitals, sick funds, PAGsPresents Governmental Affairs, Public Affairs and Market Access activities internally and externallyat the business and budget reviews,local ABs, round tablesDevelops and leverages strong internal and external business relationships in order to enhance both brand advocacy and Biogen’s image in the therapeutic areaWorks collaboratively and in total alignment with Medical, Sales, Marketing in clearly defining the overall company strategy and successfully executing on the company operational planCorporate PR and PR on publicincrease awareness about BIIBincrease awareness about rare diseases, MS, SMA and other diseases related to the Biogen portfoliolead PR initiatives to sustain BIIB image and build partnership with key stakeholdersPromote the company image and /or product awareness by utilizing all tools to maximize revenuesBuilding a high performing organizationLead the local team providing strategic direction to maximize business returnDevelop the talent within the country team to ensure effective succession planning and career development to meet current and future demands.Drive organizational development and changes and structure in line with business growthLead and motivate the organization to have the professional approach on topAssigns work effectively, with appropriate dialogue re context, specific accountabilities and goals, milestones, resourcesInfluence and inspire teams to perform at their bestDevelops and nurtures a team-oriented cultureProvide coaching feedback and advice that is separate from tactical supportPrepares and presents effective performance reviews including goal setting, ongoing conversation and year-end appraisalEnsure all team members are fully aligned and comply with Biogen regulations and local lawsEnsure compliance within the team with Biogen code of business conduct

Additional InformationUniversity Degree in economics, Degree in economics or sciencesFluent in local language and fluent command of the English language7+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical contexts, in market access specialty areas, or similarTrack record of successful reimbursement negotiations for biopharmaceutical products with local reimbursement authoritiesExpertise in the field of outcomes research, epidemiology or health economics studiesStakeholder managementPeople Management

Minimum annual gross salary of 75.000,00 €, depending on qualification and experience willingness to overpay .
