**The opportunity**
The Head of Agency Onboarding and Performance management is responsible for converting corporate strategy into the tactical solutions to deliver on the headcount scale-up and talent management of the agents and agency leaders. Attracting top talent to join Manulife Agency remains a key must win battle to scale up our business. This role will be instrumental in delivering the agency scale up plan while ensuring we are able to implement strong selection methodologies and talent acquisition strategies to attract advisors and leaders.
This role is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving improvements and fostering a high-performance culture among the advisors and agency leaders. This position is pivotal in optimizing our recruitment scale-up, and promoting advisor growth and readiness to take on agency leadership positions.
**Responsibilities**
**Agency recruitment and on-boarding**
+ Responsible for the delivery of the recruitment goal for the year.
+ Collaborate with the National Sales Head and ensure execution of the recruitment activities to deliver the recruitment goals.
+ Engage with the zonal heads and leaders to scale up the recruitment of advisors and leaders through the Manulife Prime and Leader Recruitment programs.
+ Strategize new programs / enhancements to programs to meet the organization objectives.
+ Establish and operationalize a selection process to enable higher impact recruitment strategies that can be used by the agency leaders.
+ Operationalize sourcing strategies to complement the traditional recruitment methodologies being used by the agency leaders.
**Recruitment Program governance**
+ Establish frameworks to regularly monitor the performance of all recruitment programs.
+ Provide management strategies and recommendations to further improve the impact of the recruitment programs.
+ Ensure goals for recruitment; leader scale and structure and leader recruitment goals are met.
+ Prepare and manage the Budget and monitor the same and ensure effective and efficient use of the company resources.
+ Lead a team focused on performance development and engagement, collaborating with leaders and subject matter experts to identify requirements and solutions, and providing guidance and support to the team.
+ Responsibilities include staying updated on industry trends and techniques, managing and training team members and stakeholders, and documenting processes.
+ The role also requires reporting any violations or potential risks and ensuring compliance with national laws, corporate ethics codes, and departmental regulations.
**Performance management and Potential Evaluation**
+ Collaborate with the National Sales Head and Zonal teams to conduct comprehensive performance development reviews of the Agency Leaders that focus on future performance enhancement and potential unlocking.
+ Implement processes to identify advisor and junior leaders with high potential and ready for stepping up to senior leadership positions that support company growth.
+ Utilize various assessment tools, to evaluate broader competencies beyond performance metrics of the agency leaders. Conduct assessments on team dynamics and ways of working based on assessment tools and provide actionable plans to develop a high performing team for the Agency leaders.
+ Identify leadership gaps and develop plans to address them, ensuring leadership readiness and capability. Based on the leadership assessment collaborate with the Agency Capability Development team to develop learning plans and strategies leveraging internal and external resources.
+ Deep engagement with the Zonal teams to identify the programs targeting each of the leadership segments.
**Goal Setting:**
+ Facilitate goal-setting activities that align agency leaders aspirations with company objectives and key collaborators, using frameworks like SMART goals and balanced scorecards to create motivating and effective development plans.
+ Operationalize goal setting as a regular activity within the agency.
+ Collaborate with key stakeholders (Sales Team, Agency Capability Development; Top Tier Team) to create effective and motivating development plans.
+ Align individual and team objectives with organizational goals, encouraging positive behaviors and greater alignment.

+ Financial metrics achievement: Achieve the rookie advisor APE targets through achievement of recruitment goals.
+ Rookie activation: Improving the activity of the rookie advisor segment through improved sourcing and selection strategy.
+ Performance Goal Achievement: the ratio and speed at which leaders meet their goals, adjusting expectations or methods as necessary.
+ Feedback Frequency: the regularity of feedback sessions, using this data to identify potential performance issues within the agency.
+ Promotion Rates: increases in promotions as an indicator of successful talent development and alignment with company growth.

**What we are looking for**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies/ Administration / Economics / Management
+ MBA degree an advantage
