What you will be responsible for
Lead a team of quantitative analysts, fostering collaboration to deliver tailored solutions that enhance the performance of trading desks across multiple business linesAct as the primary interface between the research team and internal trading professionals, ensuring the timely delivery of actionable insights, custom models, and data-driven solutionsOversee the creation, testing, and deployment of advanced quantitative models and analytic tools to address specific end-user needsSuccessfully apply ideas from across the research team to solve new problems, and lead research efforts to develop new ideas that are innovative and actionableIdentify and anticipate the evolving requirements of key stakeholders and proactively manage priorities to deploy resources efficientlyEngage in consistent dialog with trading teams to communicate, review, and enhance resultsMaintain an exceptional risk control environment and development processWhat we value

8+ years of experience in quantitative research, trading analytics, or a related discipline preferredMaster’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or other quantitative field preferredProficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, C++) and data analysis toolsStrong knowledge of quantitative modeling, statistical methods, and machine learning / AI techniquesDemonstrated ability to lead complex projects in a fast-paced environmentStrong quantitative and analytical mindset, with the ability to translate complex data into practical insightsExceptional ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and influence senior stakeholdersComprehensive understanding of capital markets, trading strategies, and financial instruments, with an awareness of emerging trends in technology and analyticsAbout State Street

Salary Range:
$170,000 - $282,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
