Head of Area North (General Manager)

Siemens have an opportunity for an Area Head to ensure implementation of the Buildings business regional strategy, guidelines, and targets. This is a General Management position where you will strive to increase sales and service in all disciplines of Siemens’ Buildings portfolio through both direct and in-direct go-to-market channels and achieve defined financial goals and sales targets!

This role will cover the North of UK region, so we are looking for someone based in the North or Midlands. Travel will be required to customer sites and Siemens offices.

You’ll make an impact by:Ensuring implementation of the regional strategy for Area North providing services and solutions in the Buildings marketIncreasing sales and service with existing and potential customers, achieving defined financial goals and sales targetsImplement Safety Leadership CultureDeliver organisational strategy with a clear understanding of the industry trends, economic sectors and market dynamics that drive the strategic imperatives of the business.Continually review business plans against the organisation’s strategic directive.Collaborate with customers to implement new solutions (e.g., digital business models, predictive manufacturing/service, blockchain). Support the "up-sell" of opportunities along with the operations and sales team.Take ownership for the full range of field service delivery processes and ensure that customer expectations are met.Identify any improvement opportunities and implement measures to consistently improve.Implement potential risk mitigation strategies and allocations to ensure successful outcomes are achieved.Delegate work packages within project team, synchronize workstreams and coordinate interfaces in regard of work results.Continuously control project status through a structured review process with respect to goal achievement, potential risks, and change requests; and takes appropriate measures to keep projects on track.Build relationships with key customers at senior and Director levels.Actively gather and leverage information to understand current and emerging customer business priorities, problems, expectations, and needs.Mentor employees to maximise their own performance potential; planning and supporting the development of individual skills.Establish systems and processes to attract, develop, engage, and retain talented individuals; creating a work environment where people can realise their full potentialBuild on your existing skills and experience, including:Knowledge of the Building automation market sector and experience with our products and solutions to implement services and solutionsExperience leading effective teams, training and mentoring othersAbility to inspire and motivate colleaguesAbility to build partnerships with key customers to better understand their needs and prioritiesHas up-to-date practical experience in project management methodology
