General Accountability:
The Head of Bancassurance, HK & Macau, oversees the development of Bancassurance channel and formulates sales and marketing strategies to foster the business growth of the partnerships. Currently, there are 4 bank partners – DBS, CNCBI, Standard Chartered Private Banking and Banco Delta Asia.
This position is accountable for the management, leadership, and overall direction of the bancassurance channel and oversees the distribution of Manulife products to partner banks in Hong Kong and Macau. This position will spearhead strategies and initiatives to drive channel expansion and maximize their potential.
The primary function is to drive various initiatives and provide quality services to bank partners in Hong Kong and Macau in order to deliver the business objectives of achieving significant growth in production, productivity, and margin through distribution development.
Responsibilities:
• This role is responsible for the business growth and profits generated by bancassurance channel including new and existing bancassurance partnerships.
• Foster and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within partner banks, ensuring alignment of goals and objectives, and leveraging these relationships to drive business growth and enhance collaboration.
• Implement effective distribution model and strategies by deploying pre and post-sales support capabilities, sales incentive campaigns, product sales training to drive channel growth from the partnerships.
• Lead the teams to work jointly with the Head of Bancassurance in Banks and the teams to formulate, build, develop, implement and monitor the business and resources plan for the bancassurance partnership.
• Formulate and implement customer centric propositions, need-based selling strategies for the bank’s customer segments to sell related products based on their needs.
• Collaborate with Regional area of specialties to provide the bank with a cross region best practices, reporting and monitoring format.
• Adopt market best practice on client servicing and ensure on-going enhancement on the service platform.
• Ensure all bancassurance activities comply with local regulatory requirements and internal policies, and actively manage any risk associated with the bancassurance channel.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators for the bancassurance channel, providing regular analysis and reporting on progress against targets, and implementing corrective actions as needed to achieve business objectives.
