Head of Brand Strategy Practice - Strategy3

Role overview 

 As an Associate Partner, and head of the Brand Strategy Practice you will play a critical role in the growth of our business.  Your impact will be felt across three areas:

The numbers – you will play a critical role in business development, helping to build a pipeline of projects and clients through close collaboration with the Ipsos client organisation and research teams. The offer – you will bring an expert perspective and stacks of experience to help us develop a best-in-class solution to our clients’ biggest brand challenges.  Your oversight of brand work will ensure we deliver client excellence across every engagement. The team – as part of the leadership team you will act as a role model, providing inspiration and hands-on support to our brilliant people. 

This role offers hybrid working, with 3 days from our London office and the rest from home.

What will I be doing?

As Head of the Brand Strategy Practice your focus will be on developing a distinctive offer and taking that to market through Ipsos’s enviable client network as well as through your own black book.  You will be expected to build strong relationships with the Ipsos organization across the globe with particular focus on the UK and Europe.  Strategy3 is a key pillar of Ipsos’ future growth and we expect all of our executives to exemplify what it means to be collaborative, consultative, and courageous, not only within our team, but to Ipsos and to our clients.  For a creative and commercial thinker who thrives on challenge, this is a unique opportunity for personal and professional growth: to scale-up a fast-growing business with the structure and support of one of the world’s most respected research firms.

Day-to-day you can expect to be:

Directing and developing business across key clients / sectors

Leading teams on high-profile proposals and pitches within the Brand Strategy Practice, bringing fresh thinking that ensures a distinctive perspective on the challenge Overseeing key client deliverables, ensuring the highest quality and actionability Establishing trusted-partner relationships with key clients – new and existing – positioning yourself as the go-to for strategic intelligence Designing and delivering stand-out client experiences across touchpoints

Coaching and developing team

Directly managing 3-4 team members, providing career development support through learning opportunities, coaching and being their champion within the business Providing regular feedback and coaching to colleagues throughout the life of projects to support continuous learning and improvement

Designing the future

Working closely with the leadership team to build and deliver strategic plans across clients and sectors Identifying white space and drawing on creativity and commercial sense to develop our brand strategy offer  Raising the profile of Strategy3 through development of inspiring content and representation at industry events Leaning in to Ipsos initiatives and networks to shape the direction of the wider business

 

What do I need to bring with me?   

The ideal candidate will bring a unique blend of analytical and creative skills to bear on our client’s problems and our changing industry.

Specifically, we’ll be looking for:

Extensive professional experience, with strong track record in winning and delivering best-in-class brand strategy  Strong business acumen and critical thinking skills Knowledge and passion for the latest theory shaping brand consulting Proven track record of leading valuable long-term client relationships Close attention to commercials with standardised approach to effective project management Demonstrated leadership skills with team members at all levels Commitment to coaching, growing and nurturing talent Enormous personal impact and executive presence

Critically important is the ability to successfully navigate organisations, find the right leverage points and build relationships.
