The OESL IT department is newly conceived and being built now! With this pioneering effort, OESL IT will be flexible, fast, and forward-thinking. Our IT team will become a strategic advisory partner, strengthening digital capabilities and driving business success.

In your role as Head of Business Applications, you will work in a dynamic environment and shape our IT landscape with us. The role handles the relationship towards our business customers as well as to our internal and external suppliers for all business applications. You will be an integral part of the OESL IT's new management team, defining and building the organization, having responsibility for approximately 80+ FTE`s.

Your Responsibilities:

Define and manage the IT product portfolio strategy across core and supporting business functions (e.g., R&D, Sales, HR, Operations, Finance, Purchasing), ensuring seamless integration into the organization’s IT architecture to meet business needsDevelop and maintain roadmaps for business applications, prioritizing innovation, agility, and operational effectivenessTake full responsibility for the IT product lifecycle, including planning, demand management, delivery and outcome reporting, while tracking performance metrics and resolving issues proactivelyFoster a product-oriented culture with a BizDevOps approach, managing both domestic and international teams for seamless collaboration across time zones and business unitsBuild and lead cross-functional product teams, promoting accountability, innovation, and high performance while empowering them to work independently using agile methodsEnsure effective resource allocation, maintain alignment with business priorities and provide mentorship to foster team development and career growthAct as the central liaison between IT and business stakeholders, managing expectations and fostering collaboration to drive IT-driven business valueMaintain the relationship with our partners and suppliers in the field of business applications.Drive IT innovation by leveraging emerging technologies to modernize systems, integrating agile methods and digital transformation during the carve-out phasePromote continuous improvement to keep IT solutions competitive and future-ready, optimizing processes and enhancing productivity through technology

QualificationsDegree in IT, business informatics / engineering / administration or equivalentProven experience in managing a comprehensive portfolio of business applications and ensuring their seamless integration into a modern IT architectureExpertise in product development and management with a clear focus on product lifecycle strategy, innovation, and deliveryExperience driving digital transformation initiatives, with a focus on modernizing IT systems and processes to enhance productivity and future-readinessStrong knowledge of modern IT architectures, including cloud technologies, and their application in aligning IT solutions with business needsBusiness acumen and the capability to analyze complex business requirements, translating them into effective IT solutionsDemonstrated experience in leading IT projects across multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams, both locally and internationallyAdvanced skills in multi-project management, with the ability to manage priorities, align resources, and drive timely delivery of multiple projectsStrong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to inspire, develop, and motivate high-performing, cross-functional teamsExcellent communication and networking skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively between IT and business stakeholders at all levelsExceptional process understanding, with the ability to quickly learn, analyze and optimize business processes to improve efficiency and outcomesAbility to articulate complex technical concepts and translate them into understandable language for executives and non-technical stakeholders
