Baxter Healthcare Corporation seeks a highly skilled and experienced Head of Business Development to join our world-class team in Shanghai, China. As the Head of Business Development, you will be crucial in growing our market presence and achieving financial growth in the healthcare sector. This is an outstanding opportunity to lead and collaborate with external partners to successfully implement strategic objectives in China.

Responsibilities:Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to expand our market presence and achieve financial growth.Identify, evaluate, and recommend various business development opportunities through partnerships, alliances, or in- and out-licensing in targeted therapeutic areas.Manage distributor and other external collaborations with a new business model for channel excellence that contributes to short- and long-term business goals.Collaborate closely with teams from different local and international departments to build detailed evaluations and analyses that influence senior leaders' go/no-go choices and maintain alignment with the company's strategic goals.Present financial information and analysis to senior management and important individuals.Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment to inform strategic decisions.Build professional solid networks with external partners, academic institutions, and investor groups to continuously scout for pipeline targets aligned with China portfolio strategy.Engage in special project assignments based on business needs and requirements.Requirements:A Bachelor's degree or above, specializing in medical/pharmaceutics/business preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered.8+ years of business development or equivalent experience in the China healthcare industry.Strong grasp of the business development process, including the use of tools to analyze opportunities, assess risks, evaluate financial statements, determine financial value, and create financial models.Strong ability to analyze market trends, assess potential business prospects, evaluate financial data, negotiate terms, and successfully finalize transactions.Strong coordination/communication skills with demonstrated ability to work and lead cross-functional teams.Sound analytical skills and a solid ability to understand complex business issues.Record of successful business development deals in China highly preferred.Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills in both English and Chinese.
