Your role and responsibilities

As the Head of Business IT for DE-PAEN, you play a key role in managing and optimizing the IT infrastructure and services within the Energy Industries business in Germany. You ensure that IT solutions align with business requirements while complying with both local and global ABB guidelines. With your expertise in IT security, infrastructure management, and business-oriented IT solutions, you make a significant contribution to the efficiency and security of the IT landscape.The work model for the role is: hybridYour responsibilities:•\tManagement and support of the IT infrastructure in Germany to ensure stability, performance, scalability, and user-friendliness.•\tBuilding, optimizing, and managing infrastructure support, as well as implementing an ITSM solution for efficient IT service delivery and automation.•\tMonitoring and managing SIEM, as well as tracking and resolving vulnerabilities according to global ABB security guidelines to enhance IT security.•\tDeveloping and implementing IT solutions that meet business requirements and comply with ABB guidelines.•\tPlanning, implementing, and operating a backup and disaster recovery concept to ensure the availability and integrity of business-critical data.•\tCollaborating with interdisciplinary teams and maintaining local and global partnerships to optimally align the IT infrastructure with business needs.•\tEnsuring compliance with ISO 27001 standards and ITILv4 best practices and using modern technologies such as Azure and VMware to optimize the infrastructure.

Qualifications for the role

Completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.At least 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, including cloud and on-premises solutions, as well as in-depth knowledge of IT security, SIEM, and vulnerability management.Experience in building and operating ITSM solutions, as well as implementing backup and disaster recovery concepts.Experience in aligning IT with business requirements and managing and optimizing infrastructure support to deliver efficient IT services while ensuring ISO 27001 compliance.Ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.Negotiation-level proficiency in both German and English, both written and spoken.
