**About the Role:**
As businesses navigate increasing complexity, SAP Business Transformation Management (BTM) plays a critical role in SAP’s global and Japan strategy. Whether supporting large-scale S/4HANA and RISE transformations or driving industry and use case-specific innovation, our BTM suite is essential in providing clarity and direction to help organizations drive sustainable and successful transformations. We are seeking a **Head of Sales – Business Transformation Management (BTM)** to lead cloud-driven business transformation initiatives in the Japan market. This leader will act as a general manager, executing a high-growth BTM Japan market plan and positioning SAP’s BTM solutions (Signavio, LeanIX, WalkMe) to help enterprises optimize business processes, architecture landscapes, and achieve operational excellence.
The ideal candidate is a well respective senior manager with already existing CxO level contacts in Japan in strategic customers with deep expertise in business-driven transformations, along with a strong track record in complex enterprise sales and cloud transformation.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Strategic Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth**
+ Own and execute a Go-to-Market MU BTM Japan growth plan focused on SAP’s BTM solutions ( **Signavio, LeanIX, WalkMe** ) to drive revenue growth. Working in close alignment with the WalkMe Japan Sales leader & team
+ Develop **C-level relationships** and act as a trusted advisor, demonstrating how business process transformation delivers measurable value.
+ Expand SAP’s footprint through **new customer acquisition, renewals, and expansion** while ensuring long-term customer success.
+ Build **Though Leadership** in the Japan market and become recognized as the end-to-end Business Transformation Management solution provider of choice in the Japan market.
**BTM Solution Positioning & Cloud Transformation**
+ Articulate the strategic benefits of **business process management, enterprise architecture, and digital adoption** in accelerating cloud transformation.
+ Partner with enterprise customers to align SAP BTM solutions with their **digital transformation roadmaps** .
+ Lead discussions on **process mining, automation, and value stream mapping** , helping customers optimize workflows and enhance efficiency.
**Executive Stakeholder & Team Leadership**
+ Manage and develop a high-performing sales team, fostering collaboration with **SAP account teams, partners, and solution engineering** to drive adoption.
+ Work closely with **SAP Business Transformation Center** and partners to align sales strategies with customer transformation initiatives.
**Customer Engagement & Continuous Strategy Optimization**
+ Regularly assess and refine engagement strategies, ensuring **data-driven decision-making** to maximize customer lifetime value.
+ Champion customer success by ensuring smooth handovers to **implementation partners and post-sales teams** for seamless solution adoption.
**Requirements:**
+ **Bachelor’s or Master’s degree** in business, technology, or a related field.
+ **15 years of enterprise sales experience** , with a strong background in business process transformation, **BTM solutions (Signavio, LeanIX, WalkMe)** , and cloud-based platforms.
+ **Proven experience engaging C-level executives** and leading complex sales cycles.
+ **Expertise in cloud transformation, business process mining, and enterprise architecture management.**
+ Strong ability to **build strategic partnerships** and drive consultative sales discussions.
+ **Fluency in English**
**Preferred Skills:**
+ Experience working within the business transformation solutions or projects area, with a strong background in ERP cloud transformation, business process management, enterprise architecture management, and data mining solutions.
+ Strong **forecasting and pipeline management** skills to drive predictable revenue growth.
+ Exceptional communication and **negotiation skills** for complex contract discussions.
+ Ability to navigate **large enterprise accounts** , aligning SAP BTM solutions with their transformation priorities.
