Head of Cboe Clear US
Job Description:

The Cboe Clear US team is hiring for a Head of Cboe Clear US

The Head of Cboe Clear US will guide with both expertise and inspiration, fostering an environment where complex problem-solving and creative engineering flourish and meet with clients and stakeholders in order to grow the impact of the CCP. The post holder will be responsible for the development and execution of the US Clearing Strategy and the smooth running of a CFTC regulated CCP founded on a comprehensive experience of the US clearing and settlement landscape. You'll report to the SVP Global Head of Clearing and be accountable for:


Strategic Clearing Development 
•    Developing commercial and operational strategies for business growth and diversification, in line with the mandate given by the shareholder, and leveraging Cboe’s global presence, in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders, including the Global Derivatives business. 
•    Plan and lead the organization’s activities to set ambitious targets, prioritize initiatives, allocate resources, and deliver results across financial and non-financial goals including business performance, service quality, new business development, operational efficiency, organizational culture, and regulatory compliance.   
•    Developing opportunities for synergies within Cboe, leveraging group resources where possible, whilst adhering to the highest standards of regulatory-driven governance requirements. 


Governance 

•    Directing the business in accordance with its constitutional and regulatory requirements.  
•    Ensuring an effective risk and control framework to guarantee that business is conducted in a prudent and controlled manner, attentive to internal and external sources of risk, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. 
•    Overseeing reporting to the shareholder/board on organizational plans and performance.


Stakeholder Management 
•    Being the primary representative of the CCP, able to effectively represent the business and to build trusted relationships with stakeholders, including clients, vendors, partners, the media, Cboe as the shareholder, regulators and policy makers, and staff.
•    Developing and maintaining relationships with senior leaders at key customers that can be leveraged to drive business development opportunities. 
•    Developing and maintaining relationships with key policy and regulatory decisions makers so as to contribute to the formation of policy that supports competition and growth. 


People & Culture 
•    Act as a role model promoting and furthering the company and CGM’s values in all relationships, both externally and internally.   
•    Recruit, supervise and develop senior team members.   


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
•    An excellent understanding of functioning of clearing and post trading activities, and of the evolving policy and regulatory environment.
•    Demonstrated track record as a business leader in the financial markets industry, with responsibility for setting and executing on strategy, and success in driving business growth and development.
•    Proven managerial experience to fulfil the task in a supervised financial institution, including responsibility for relationships with regulators.
•    Proven track record of building and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including client relationship management.
•    Relevant experience in trading/clearing, ideally with established relationships with clearing members and other ecosystem participants.
•    Experience directing significant projects and managing change in a business with complex operational processes, and with associated IT infrastructure and risk and control frameworks.
•    Understanding of financial and operational risk management processes.
•    A relevant academic degree.

•    Financially literate, able to set and meet budgets.

Our pay ranges are determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, role, experience, level, and location. The national new hire base pay range for this job in the United States is $242,250-$299,250. This range represents the minimum and maximum base pay the company expects to offer for new hires working in the position full time. If you live in one of the following areas or if you work in a Cboe office in the following areas, the range may be higher according to the geographic differentials listed below:


 

US Geographic Differentials:

110%: Austin TX, Chicago IL, Denver CO, San Diego CA 

115%: Los Angeles CA, Seattle WA 

120%: Boston MA, Washington DC 

125%: New York City NY  

130%: San Francisco CA 


 

Within the range, individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
