The Collection Strategies unit is instrumental in supporting the diverse research, teaching, and learning needs of the CSU community. The team develops and executes the overarching strategy for the Libraries’ general collections and drives innovation in collection development. With strong support from the administration of the CSU Libraries, the Head of Collection Strategies will help further University goals, integrate the CSU Principles of Community into the work of the CSU Libraries, and foster a culture of innovation and inclusion. The Head of Collection Strategies provides strategic, flexible, and creative leadership for a team of professionals. In this role, you will manage a significant budget and make decisions to maximize the value and impact of our collections. You will set the vision for the Libraries’ general collection and will represent CSU Libraries in regional and national consortia. Reporting to the Associate Dean for Collections and Discovery, the Head collaborates across the library and will need to build and maintain strong working relationships with Acquisitions and Metadata Services, Research Support & Open Scholarship, Student Success, Resource Sharing, and CSU Pueblo Library. The Head serves as an active member of the Library Leadership Advisory Group, contributing to library strategic planning and organizational development.
