Job Summary:
Reporting into the EMEA Senior Director Commercial Operations, we are seeking a Head of Commercial Data - EMEA to support the development and delivery of CooperVision’s global data strategy and ensure successful delivery and operational effectiveness in the EMEA region. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking and operational excellence combined with strong communication skills, leadership and a detailed understanding of how a robust data strategy underpins the organisation’s commercial objectives.
Scope
Essential Functions & Accountabilities
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in shaping and delivering data strategy in data life cycle management and detailed knowledge of information technology systems and tools. They will be a leader in data governance and IT projects and their application to commercial business decision making, improved business efficiency and enhanced customer experience.
Principle responsibilities include:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Leadership experience in the implementation of at least one leading MDM technology (preferably informatica and Oracle). Line management experience successfully developing high-performing team and individuals. Strong leadership, project management and organizational skills to ensure new policies and guidance frameworks are successfully executed. Global and/or EMEA regional experience preferred. Data Protection Regulation and its impact on internal systems and processes. Ability to read and understand technical material and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders. Knowledge of relevant applications such as SalesForce, eCommerce applications, big data solutions, and data management and linkage tools. EDW and Cloud based data storage integration. Location is flexible – UK or EU. Preference for candidate to be commutable to CooperVision EMEA HQ, near Southampton, UK. Ability to work in different locations to support key data projects. Able to travel within Europe and Internationally as required (10% estimate although this vary depending key data projects). Prolonged computer and screen use.Experience
Extensive experience of data management in a large multinational enterprise.
Education
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology or related discipline is a benefit.
