We are seeking an experienced commercial leader to build the business for its next phase of growth, be responsible for the day-to-day operations that deliver the goals and objectives of the business including the P&L. This role will have both direct and indirect management responsibilities for the commercial team including key accounts, sales organization, marketing, and professional affairs.
The candidate will lead the business in Hong Kong and Taiwan with a clear vision, develop a robust, future-ready strategy with flexibility to manage changes in myopia management therapies, sales channel evolution, and patient demand while providing industry, clinical and academic thought-leadership and influence amongst eye care professionals.
This role will build a strong commercial team and cross-functional collaboration to identifying new business opportunities, investment for growth, develop strong win-win partnerships with customers through compelling commercial programs and excellent services. Being able to manage channel conflict prudently and ensuring long term commercial success by keeping the customers closely engaged will be critical.
This role will report to the General Manager, Taiwan & Hong Kong. This person is also expected to thrive in a matrix environment, collaborating with regional/global leaders to champion the needs of Taiwan & Hong Kong with enterprise mindset and drive collective success.
Essential Functions & Accountabilities
Lead directly and partner with cross-functional teams in Sales, Marketing, Regulatory and Professional Affairs for the Myopia Management business in Taiwan and Hong Kong Develop local market intelligence and insights to develop and evolve commercial strategies to grow the category Develop and execute sales and marketing plans to achieve sales revenue, expense and gross margin targets while driving sustainable growth Develop and own strong partnership with the customers and the key decision makers (key accounts, eyecare clinics, and hospitals) through a deep understanding of the market, customers, physicians, fitters, nurses, patients, patient’s families and Taiwan & Hong Kong market capabilities. Create strategic and forward-thinking relationships with these customers to improve overall business and customer partnership. Be hands-on to work with them close on growing the category, their business and as well as the market share of our products. Create and drive a compelling commercial vision and a high-performing culture for Myopia Management team Leverage regional resources and align with regional strategies in the development of sales and marketing plans. Drive improvements to stay ahead of competition. Lead the commercial part of the annual operating budget cycle and the Long-Range Strategic Plan (LRSP) process. Drive the operational planning and forecasting for MM. Update business performance on a monthly and quarterly basis. Strong focus on forecast accuracy to ensure robust supply from our manufacturing organization. Ensure we work towards providing a best-in-class customer experience - from professional and knowledgeable sales, customer service, professional education, and product supply. Represent CooperVision to establish credible and fruitful relationships with relevant industry bodies in Taiwan & Hong Kong especially with the aim to grow the category and increase urgency for the treatment of myopia.
