Head of Competitor & Market Insights

As a Head of Competitor and Market Insights, you will analyse and assess market trends, the competitor landscape, and potential risks and opportunities to inform your strategic decision-making. Using your in-depth researching and analytical skills, you will capture market and competitive developments, evaluating their implications for Barclays UK and identify emerging opportunities.

To be successful as a Head of Competitor and Market Insights, you should have experience with:

Research and analysis; analysing data and delivering high level data-driven insights for driving commercial outcomes.

Influential verbal and written communications to Senior level stakeholders.

Devising strategies based on insights and research gathered.

Any previous experience directly working on market insights.

A Comms background.

Stakeholder management, specifically the experience of working with different teams within the bank and being able to build and maintain strong relationships.

This role will be based in London.

Purpose of the role

To analyse and assess market trends, competitor landscape, and potential risks and opportunities to inform strategic decision-making.

Accountabilities

Development and presentation of compelling strategic recommendations to senior management, addressing key business challenges and opportunities.Monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of implemented strategies, recommending adjustments as needed.Communication of complex strategic information clearly and concisely to diverse stakeholders.Identification and assessment of potential risks associated with the bank's strategic plans and recommend mitigation strategies.Conducting in-depth research and analysis of internal and external data, including market trends, competitor analysis, and economic forecasts.

Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross functional areas of impact and alignment.Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the organisation functions to contribute to achieving the goals of the business.Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategies.Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives.
