Job Purpose:
We are seeking a seasoned Head of Contracts to lead and manage all contractual activities for our CO? Sequestration Project. Reporting directly to the Business Division Manager, you will provide expert contracts engineering support and strategic advice to ensure the seamless execution of EPC contracts, manage change orders and claims, and drive continuous improvement in project contracting processes.

Key Responsibilities - (Duties include but not limited to):
Contract Leadership: Spearhead the preparation and issuance of EPC Invitations to Tender (ITT) and oversee the tendering roadmap. Ensure alignment and endorsement from the tender committee and key stakeholders. Bid Evaluation & Administration: Develop robust bid evaluation plans, procedures, and models for technical and commercial assessments. Administer contracts by offering timely contractual guidance, tracking milestones, and ensuring contractor obligations are met. Claims, Variations & Amendments: Manage global contractual requirements, including progress reporting on claims and variations. Assess and recommend amendments to existing contracts, and lead negotiations with EPC contractors on major change orders and claims. Legal & Operational Coordination: Collaborate with the Legal department to address contractual and legal issues. Design cost/schedule-driven contracting scenarios for strategic workshops. Establish processes for the smooth transition of contracts to Operations post-project demobilization. Project & Audit Support: Ensure compliance with contract terms and regulations by coordinating with contractors. Prepare and edit contracts, manage contractor claims, and resolve disputes efficiently. Support the Project Management System and audit activities to maintain contract integrity. Financial Oversight: Manage responsibilities in line with the Delegation of Authority and approved budgets. Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with company policies, safety regulations, and legal standards. Qatarization Commitment: Actively contribute to the development of Qatari employees, a key condition for expatriate roles. Operational Excellence: Work autonomously within established procedures, manage a dynamic project environment, and excel under high-pressure, capital-intensive conditions. Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Law, or Business. Experience: Minimum of 10 years in contracting related to EPC projects, including at least 5 years in a leadership role. Technical & Business Skills: Exceptional written and oral communication skills in English. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, engineering software, Lotus Notes, and process simulation tools. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse cultural backgrounds.
