Reports To: General Manager Aircrew
The purpose of this position is to spearhead the replacement of our mission-critical crew management system, used to track and manage pilots and cabin crew, and associated operational processes. This high-impact role will involve end-to-end ownership of the programme, from planning and vendor management to implementation, change management, and seamless transition to the new system. The incumbent will ensure minimal disruption to daily operations while modernising technology and optimising business processes in a safety-critical aviation environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesScope
Drive the programme to replace the Crew Tracking system, and associated business processes for Cathay Pacific and Air Hong Kong, including a separate crew hours & payment calculation module Identify additional opportunities for the business to benefit from the new system.Programme Leadership
Define and deliver project scope, timelines, budgets, and success criteria for replacing the crew management system. Lead cross-functional teams (including IT, Crew Operations, Crew Scheduling, and external vendors) to deliver the programme on time and within budget. Manage risks, dependencies, and issue resolution, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations and data security standards.Stakeholder Collaboration
Engage with impacted stakeholders including operational teams, suppliers, and executives to align requirements and address concerns Conduct workshops to map current processes, identify inefficiencies, and redesign workflows for the new system Ensure stakeholder readiness for the changes Convene steering committees, regular programme reviews with stakeholders and suppliers, namely Wipro Monitor and report on the progress of transformation projects, ensuring adherence to budget, timeline, and quality standardsVendor & Technology Management
Oversee vendor management and work with IT and APD to negotiate SOWs Ensure seamless integration with existing systems (rostering, payroll, crew scheduling)Change Management & Training
Identify and analyse business processes, systems, and technologies to identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation. Work closely with other teams to gather requirements, provide guidance, and ensure alignment with transformation initiatives. Develop and execute a change management strategy to drive adoption among crew members and operational staff. Coordinate training programs and communications to minimise resistance and operational downtime.Transition & Go-Live
Plan and execute data migration, testing (UAT), and cutover, ensuring zero disruption to crew operations.Establish post-implementation support and handover processes. RequirementsSkills
Deliver results and challenge the status quo Expertise in Agile/Waterfall methodologies and tools (Jira, MS Project) Strong financial acumen and vendor management skills Exceptional communication, with the ability to simplify technical details for non-IT stakeholdersExperience
