A bit about the job:
The Head of Data Enablement will lead our enterprise data engineering technology teams in building and maintaining a robust, scalable, and secure data platform ecosystem. This role is pivotal in ensuring data availability, integrity, discoverability, and operational excellence across the enterprise. The successful candidate will develop automation, reusable components, and technical capabilities enabling Aviva Data Engineering Teams to deliver at pace.
Additionally, you will:
Develop and execute a comprehensive data enablement strategy that aligns with the organisation's goalsLead and mentor a team of highly skilled data engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvementOversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of a consolidated data platformOptimise the build and consumption of capabilities within the functionManage the integration of data sources and technologies into our data lakehouseEnsure high levels of data availability and integrity focussing on governance practicesImplement best practices to streamline data workflows and improve platform efficiencySkills and experience we’re looking for:
Proven experience in a senior data engineering or data management roleStrong knowledge of enterprise data technologies, including AWS Data services, Snowflake, Cloud DBT, AWS Managed Apache Airflow, Attacama, Immuta, and CollibraExcellent leadership, communication, collaboration and team management skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExperience with cloud-based data platforms and servicesWhat you’ll get for this role:
