About the Opportunity 

The Head of Digital Engineering Applications is accountable for establishing, building and managing an engineering solutions delivery team, focussing on Requirements, Design and Engineering, CAD, BIM, Digital Twin and immersive technologies. Investigating commercial solutions for the use of technology within existing contracts and pipeline activity. 

Supporting the capture of new opportunities, through bid support and sharing best practice with customers. Horizon scanning new technologies, industry best practice for hardware and software applications, relevant to the business, our customers and wider delivery teams.

Location is flexible between our main office locations in the UK with a requirement to attend the office 1-2 days per week and commitment to travel for client engagement in line with business needs.

This is a senior level role requiring strong experience in leading global teams and a demonstrated background experience in delivery of technology and information across Major programmes and projects, in multiple sectors. The successful applicant will be an experienced people leader and expert in the domain of Digital Engineering applications, possessing excellent communication and collaboration skills with an innovative, visionary, and entrepreneurial mindset. You will bring confident and inclusive leadership, the resilience to build large Teams and Functions from scratch in demanding client facing environments, and the humility to contribute at all levels, alongside the following competencies; 

You will be a strategic thinker, able to show that you have the professional skills, breadth of experience and personal qualities for this post. You will be an experienced people leader who can drive vision and purpose, with an inclusive and diverse global mindset, developing teams and driving accountability. You will need excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills, focused on relationship management and strategic influencing, with engagement skills that cultivates trust. You will have a track record of success in leading teams in complex, evolving environments. You will be able to develop skills and expertise while creating a culture which encourages innovation. You will demonstrate your experience in leading the implementation of recognised industry Digital Engineering practices into projects and programmes of all sizes. You will be required to have extensive and up to date knowledge of Digital Technologies and trends within the Construction Industry, including government policies and industry standards such as the BS EN 19650 series. You will possess a degree in IT or related field of technology, accreditations in the field of Information Management from organisations such as BRE or OPERAM, and demonstrate continuous learning of forthcoming industry developments trends and standards.  

Any offer of employment will be strictly subject to the relevant security requirements for the role being met. This means that you will need to have, or be able to obtain, Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance and either Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV) clearance. The security clearance process may require non-British nationals or dual nationals (i.e. those with British and another nationality) to be subject to additional evaluation, depending on nationalities held and the nature of the work to be carried out
