Head of Digital & Software Sales - Smart Infrastructure Buildings - Remote

Overview:

The U.S. Head of Digital Business & Software Sales is responsible for developing the market for Siemens digital offerings by identifying customers through all Building channels and growing the digital revenue of each channel. They will lead digital sales and business development to build the pipeline jointly with the U.S. sales teams and act as the single point of contact for all digital solution sales activity for the sales team in the U.S. This role is a remote role that could be located anywhere within the U.S.

This leader is also responsible for increasing digital sales competencies and ensuring execution of the U.S. company strategy. As a leader with vision on our Digital Value Proposition, you will actively engage and influence the market (including Planners, Consultants, Customers). The Head of Digital Business Sales will also help customers understand how they can best apply digital transformation to achieve their business objectives.

The role will be measured on the sales of Digital Portfolio/SaaS volume and Digital Revenue.

You will make an impact by:

Developing, driving and completing a comprehensive business plan and go-to-market strategy to identify and target the customers that can best benefit from our cloud offerings and digital offerings.

Designing and driving new sales strategies in cloud-based and SaaS technology solutions.

Setting targets: build performance metrics, planning and reviews; and establish sales success dashboarding including key productivity, financial and product adoption metrics.

Growing Siemens Smart Infrastructure Enterprise Software sales, by helping to develop offerings and devise innovative growth strategies for the software business line

Implementing an effective digital go-to-market channel partner strategy.

Building, empowering and leading a team of sales professionals in the U.S.

Inspiring and influencing customers via customized solutions to become a trusted partner in innovation.

Creating of a sales plan and a robust sales pipeline that efficiently identifies, qualifies, and converts leads to orders.

Developing a plan resulting in a strong sales funnel.

Leading and growing SaaS Sales organization.

Leading sophisticated software negotiations.

Delivering a world class customer experience, collaborating on a strong workflow from sales to customer success.

Ensuring all channels are optimally supported and pushing digital through their respective channels.

Your success is grounded in having these qualifications:

A minimum 10 years of relevant software sales and business development experience, ideally in the smart building sector in large national markets. Five plus years of experience as a sales management or supervisory experience. A bachelor’s degree is required. Minimum one year of experience in leading a P&L. Five plus years in the digital software industry including IoT applications, and strong affinity for the use of digital technologies to transform business models and provide new value. Ability to travel up to 40% of the time. You must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong communication and presentation skills Successful track record in sales/business development, client management and project management in a technology environment Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and business goals for digital solutions. Strong IT, Software, Cloud, IoT platform experience. Excellent influencing and networking skills, paired with partner management experience in a matrixed global environment. Experienced in effective collaboration across diverse teams, cultures, and time zones. Strong experience in strategy consulting, preferably in the digital practice of a global consulting firm. Experience in Healthcare, Airport, Commercial Real Estate, & Higher Education environment. Strong Cybersecurity experience and able to communicate effectively with different collaborators. Experience in Smart building technologies. Keen interest in emerging technologies to support and improve building owner, operator and user experience.

The pay range for this position is $167,860-$287,760 and the annual incentive target is 30%. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
