Head of E-Commerce, Personal Health JAPAC
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of E-Commerce to lead and drive our online retail operations in the dynamic personal care sector. This role involves owning the end-to-end e-commerce strategy, ensuring profitability, optimizing user experience, and growing market share and market penetration through innovative and customer-focused solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of scaling e-commerce businesses and deep expertise in the FMCG, consumer electronics or personal care space industry.
Your Role
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and execute a comprehensive e-commerce strategy aligned with the Philips JAPAC online goals.Identify growth opportunities, including new market trends, technologies, and revenue streams.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate e-commerce with overall business objectives.Operational Management:
Manage the zones e-commerce platforms, alongside the regional Key Account Managers and commercial teams, ensuring smooth operations, scalability, and security.Oversee monthly operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and logistics.Revenue Growth:
Drive online sales growth through data-driven decision-making and innovative campaigns, working with the Key Account Managers to drive a learning culture.Optimize conversion rates, average order value, and customer retention.Working with product management teams from JAPAC zone and Growth region, deliver a harmonized product portfolio, underpinned by deep consumer insights that will drive on platform growth.Alongside local district marketing and commercial teams develop and implement pricing, promotion, and discount strategies to maximize profitability.Customer Experience:
Working with the district E-Trade teams, ensure a seamless and engaging user experience, from browsing to checkout.Oversee customer service for e-commerce channels, resolving issues efficiently.Use customer feedback to continuously improve the online shopping experience.Data Analytics and Reporting:
Analyze sales data, consumer behavior, and website metrics to inform decisions.Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as traffic, sales, conversion rates, and customer acquisition costs to the JAPAC management teams.Leverage analytics to forecast trends and plan inventory effectively.Team Leadership:
Long term vision is to build and manage a high-performing e-commerce team, including marketing, technology, and operations specialists.Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members.Partnerships and Vendor Management:
Collaborate with external vendors, marketplaces, and technology providers to enhance the e-commerce ecosystem.Working alongside the District based teams negotiate contracts and manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, payment gateways, and digital marketing agencies.You're likely the right fit if you possess
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, E-Commerce, or related field (MBA preferred).10+ years of experience in e-commerce, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Proven experience in the consumer electronics industry is a strong advantage.Strong knowledge of e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopee, Lazada, Amazon) and digital marketing strategies (e.g. SEO, PPC).Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and CRM systems.Exceptional leadership and team management skills.Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environmentHow we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
