Your Impact 

We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Head of Editorial Content to lead Elle Décor’s editorial team. In this role, you will oversee a team of editors and writers to create engaging content across all platforms to drive growth. You will also represent the Elle Decor Brand in the market, fostering relationships with designers, advertisers, photographers and writers in the interiors space. Your leadership will help shape the voice and point-of-view of our publication and ensure that we deliver high-quality content that resonates with our audience, while also serving the needs of our business. This role reports to the Editorial Director, who will oversee overarching brand strategy.

What you'll do:

Work with the Editorial Director to drive the editorial team to innovate and generate exciting, engaging and relevant ideas that align with the brand’s vision and standards. Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of editors, writers, and contributors, fostering a collaborative and creative environment. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging topics to keep content fresh and timely across all platforms Represent the brand at industry events, trade shows and advertiser meetings Work closely with marketing, design, and social media teams to promote content and enhance brand visibility on all platforms Generate new ideas for brand extensions and work collaboratively with the marketing and advertising team on tentpole projects and packages that drive revenue. 

Who you are:

15+ years of editorial experience, including experience at a major interior design magazine. 10+ years of management experience Interior design expertise, and relevant relationships in the interior design industry  Proven track record of producing high-quality content across multiple formats. Strong understanding of SEO, digital media, and audience development strategies. Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. A passion for storytelling and an interest in fashion, culture, news and trends. Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, English, or a related field.

The base salary for this role is $190,000 - $225,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

This position is based in the NYC office a minimum of 3 days a week.
