Get to Know the Role
As the Head of Engineering for Grab Support, you will be at the forefront of driving innovation and excellence within the support technology organization. Your leadership will be crucial in crafting strategies that enhance customer experiences and operational effectiveness. This role will report to the Head of Engineering of the Core Experience platforms and work onsite at Grab Singapore office.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
Alongside cross-functional peers, you will define the tech family's annual strategy and goals, alongside the roadmap to achieve itLead and manage a team of engineers and managers to design, develop, and maintain Grab Support's technical infrastructureDevelop and implement technical strategies to drive business growth and improve customer experienceCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technical projects and initiativesEnsure the reliability, scalability, and security of Grab Support's technical systems and infrastructureFoster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning within the engineering teamQualificationsWhat Essential Skills You Will Need
With over 15 years of extensive engineering experience under your belt, including 5+ years of experience in senior management positions leading mid to large engineering teamsDeep, hands-on programming and technical design skills across web and backend technologies are a must; prior experience with temporal is desirableA working understanding of data science and LLMs is a mustDemonstrated ability to design, build, and deliver complex, successful web services efficiently and with qualityStrong people management and organizational skills with experience in building large customer-focused tech organizations and demonstrated ability to mentor and grow senior ICs and managersAbility to clearly communicate high-level strategy and technical details effectively across disciplines, locations, and organizations, including to senior leadershipBachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or other related fieldsAdditional InformationLife at Grab
