Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Develop an in-depth knowledge of ECI productsManage and mentor all engineering teams (Electrical, Software, Mechanical, Test) and Documentation Promote teamwork throughout departmentClosely collaborate with Product ManagementManage activities and facilitate close cooperation & updates between R&D, Service, Operations and Engineering groupsLead technical teams in creating solutions to key product challengesLead the design and implementation of comprehensive product development in a timely manner, with cost in mind: Continuously update/upgrade existing ECI products based on customer needsManage technical details of new product generations from prototype through production releaseLead the implementation of new technology, scientific/technical development into engineering designsLead the strategy for transferring research and engineering activities into formal product development processesRecommend technological developments and improvements on efficiencyAdvise the executive leadership team on creative objectives and strategies for the development of products in order to accelerate timely delivery and meet as well as exceed customer satisfactionAnticipate and adjust appropriately to changes in productFollow guidelines of engineering & parts change controlEscalate and give high priority to finding and providing field escalation solutionsEffectively manage multiple engineering projects under agreed upon timelines, including coordination of resources, evaluating potential business timelines, outcomes and opportunitiesWork with the Operations Team on the transfer of products from engineering into manufacturingWork with Marketing and Sales on: Assigning engineering priorities to meet successful deliverablesDeveloping next generation productsProvide solutions for product deficiencies to the customer service team in response to field related issuesIncorporate key or recurring issues into product development road mapResponsible for design of experiment for new parts and featuresResponsible for providing timely solutions and implementation procedures for end-of-life partsIdentify, manage and evaluate internal and external resources to meet company objectivesPlan, implement, and oversee engineering strategies, procedures and goalsAssist management with special projects as required

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Level Degree and a minimum of 12 years or experience OR

Master's Level Degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience
