Your role and responsibilities

The IS Core Enterprise Information Technology Architecture team at ABB ensures that our technology capabilities, platforms, services, and standards support the business and IT strategy. We recommend architecture investments and changes that balance cost, benefit, agility, and risk while maintaining operational resilience and security.Preferred locations for the role are Europe or India.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy Coordination: Define a multi-year technology strategy for ABB IS, aligned with the needs of ABB Businesses and Functions.Architecture Review: Chair the IS Architecture Review Board to manage and assure architecture standards, ensuring interoperability and shaping the architecture landscape.Benefit and Cost Identification: Identify architecture-related benefits and costs within ABB IS Enterprise Information Technology and Data landscape.Architectural Direction: Deliver high-level architectural direction through the Lead Architect team, ensuring alignment with the overall enterprise architecture.Stakeholder Guidance: Provide guidance and insight to inform and accelerate stakeholder decision-making.Process and Methodology: Ensure mature application of common processes, tools, and methodologies across the IS ABB Architecture community.

Qualifications for the role

Over 15 years in Information Technology Architecture, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.Deep knowledge of current and future technical and applications architecture.Excellent communication and influencing skills.Strong leadership skills with the ability to translate complex technical topics into business language.Thorough understanding of industry trends and their value in the context of ABB Business.Broad network within the technology industry.Driven by simplicity, optimization, and value creation.Develop and manage effective senior stakeholder networks and relationships
