Information Technology (IT) acts as an internal function the developing, running, and maintaining of the IT systems and platforms Nokia is running on. Develops and maintains applications to meet the business needs of the organisation. Covers the performance and monitoring of day-to-day database and system activities as well as the provision of remote support to users regarding hardware and software problems.

Subfamily Description

IT Advancement & Design (ITA) comprises further development of information technologies and IT platforms for business solutions and services. Covers driving of proactive needs analysis ensuring that business needs, demands and challenges are well understood, and that business execution plans and capabilities are delivered on time and within budget. Contains management of demands and priorities while assuring alignment with the corporate strategy and budget. Comprises optimisation, harmonisation, and implementation of Nokia's IT environment and systems by providing area specific knowledge. Covers representation of the whole IT organisation to global or regional business stakeholders and user communities. Works closely with the different service providers that are part of the IT eco-system, governs their performance, and acts as main interface between IT and the business including incident escalations. Comprises identification of opportunities for process and concept development as well as improvements. Covers planning and managing of the development, testing, and implementation of process / concept improvements and system changes at own responsibility area. Contains translation of requirements into system terminology and functionality as well as the delivery of process and system end-user training.

 

User Research & Persona Development:Conduct user research through interviews, surveys, and usability testing to understand user needs, behaviours, and pain points.Develop detailed user personas that represent key target audiences, capturing their demographics, motivations, goals, and frustrations.Use persona insights to inform design decisions and ensure user-centred design principles are applied throughout the design process.Experiential Design:Design and prototype engaging and intuitive user experiences across various platforms and touchpoints, including websites, mobile apps, and physical spaces.Create wireframes, mock-up’s, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts and gather feedback.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and marketing, to ensure seamless integration of design solutions.User Interface (UI) Design:Design visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces that are consistent with Nokia's brand guidelines.Develop style guides and design systems to ensure consistency and scalability across all design deliverables.Optimize UI elements for usability, accessibility, and performance across different devices and platforms.User Experience (UX) Research & Analysis:Conduct user testing and gather feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of design solutions.Analyze user data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize user experience.Stay up-to-date on the latest UX trends and best practices.Collaboration & Communication:Effectively communicate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders through presentations, documentation, and prototypes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful implementation of design solutions.Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the strategic roadmap for service orchestration within Nokia, aligning with the company's overall business objectives.

Your skills and experience

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.10-12 years of experience in UX/UI design, with a strong focus on user research and persona development.Proven ability to conduct user research, analyze data, and translate insights into actionable design solutions.Excellent understanding of UX principles, methodologies, and best practices.Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools.Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.Passion for creating user-centered experiences that solve real-world problems.

Competencies: 

Experience with design systems and style guides.Knowledge of accessibility guidelines and best practices.Experience with agile development methodologies.Experience in the technology industry, particularly in telecommunications or networking.
 

We are seeking a passionate and creative Experiential Designer to join our team. You will play a key role in crafting compelling user experiences that delight our customers and drive business results. This role will focus on understanding user needs, developing personas, and translating those insights into innovative and engaging design solutions.

• Provides leadership for cross-functional teams involved in driving process development, improvement and maintenance. 

• Facilitates end-to-end process implementation and solution concept creation across the company.

• Designs and documents the process in line with modelling standards and guidelines; process models and process information are captured in the corporate enterprise architecture repository based on prioritised activities.

• Manages identification, analysing and defining potential improvement areas of processes end-to-end compliant with existing process architecture and guidelines.

• Aligns and translates the business needs (according to Nokia strategy) into required process change proposals.

• Responsible for collaborating with the process owners / process managers to design and define end-to-end processes. 

• Anticipates internal and external business challenges and / or regulatory issues and drives process, improvements that create competitive advantage.

• Significantly influences strategic decisions in the professional area through expertise, in turn impacting the performance of the sub-function to create competitive advantage.

• Solves highly complex problems and develops original and innovative solutions with broad impact on the business.

• Acts as a senior subject matter expert, typically at a global level, in many organisational units, the most senior internal expert who serves as best practice / quality resource and is an acknowledged authority both within and outside own organisational unit.
